Going Nuts!

Hey - I just joined this group because I too am losing soooooo slow but I think I'm doing everything right. I'm logging my foods and getting 1100-1200 calories a day, I'm now in preliminary training to run my first 1/2 marathon that's next May. My rny surgery was 7/7/11. I lost 38 lbs post op and since surgery I've lost 29 lbs. Most people at this point have lost around 60 lbs since surgery. I'm going nuts! I haven't really had any stalls. I was losing less than 2 lbs a week then the last week of Sept and first week of Oct I lost 2 lb each week. I thought finally! then I got on the scale last Sat and gained a pound. Ridiculous! I'm chalking it up to upping my exercise. Not that I've gained muscle but I think the fluids from fueling my muscles is doing it. I keep pushing on knowing that I'm taking better care of my body but I thought this surgery would make things happen quicker, ya know??? I've heard it all...it's a marathon not a race...losing slower is better...blah blah blah. This comes from people that are losing faster!!! NOT HELPFUL! Sigh....

I had my surgery in May and I have only lost about 50lbs. Not bad but you cant help but get discouraged by the posts like "6 months out and 100 lbs down". I am doing everything right (or at least I think I am). I upped my protein and increased my excersize and I am still losing at a snails pace. I couldn't find a group that was specifically for slow losers so I made one! :) I think if we "slow losers" encourage each other then it won't seem so stressful!

What's worth the PRIZE is ALWAYS worth the FIGHT!
