I'm really looking forward to it.  I've never heard of this author but will probably order his book if the seminar proves useful.  Also, you might like to Goggle   bofy building  stress   .  I'm preparing one of their articles (without ads) on reducing stress to use as a handout with some of my patients.  They have other articles posted but haven't had time to look them over

29 pounds in two weeks??  That's a huge WOO HOO.  Congratulations on your success.

When does your surgeon progress your dietary intake?  Are the meal replacements getting any easier for you?  I use Fit365 chocolate with a bit of caramel sugar free DaVinci syrup.  It is great.  I'm a very picky protein drink person but I like it a lot.

Take care and please keep updating us on your progress.

Way to go, Cathy

Hi HappyLapBander,

OMG - I love that blurb from the book you shared with us.  I have a document on my laptop of meaningful quotes I've read.  I refer to it when I've had a bad day or heading to the kitchen.  This quote will definite go on that document.

Thanks for sharing with us.  The seminar you're attending sounds awesome.  If you don't mind, I'd love to know about it after you've attended it.  I wish I could go with you as that is a topic I'd love to hear.

Thanks, Cathy

Hi Michele,

Thanks for your post.  It is nice to know that I'm not alone in the unconscious/ emotional eating combo.  Thanks for sharing that with me.

Valerie's book starts out with her life.  What I found interesting is that she remembers milestones and things in her life by her weight.  I've done the same thing.  It struck me as a bit sad that I mark my life by my weight. The first part is about her career and then moves into her rock and roll life with Eddie VanHalen.  She then starts discussing the steps she took with Jenny Craig and losing weight.

If you get it, please let me know what you think.

Hi HappyLapBander,

You have done so well with your surgery.  I am really focusing on savoring and feeling the food in my pouch so I don't overeat.

How are you feeling today?  Is each day getting better as far as healing and pain?

I remember when I had my
surgery it would get somewhat better each day.  Everyone is different but I remember feeling fairly good after about a week to 10 days.  I was walking a little bit the day after I was released from the hospital.

If you are concerned, make sure to call your surgeon's office.  No question or concern is too minor to discuss with them, especially right after surgery.

Take care and please let us know how you are.

Thanks, Cathy

Wow - 28 pounds - spectacular

I like my Unjury protein powder.  Since you are at two weeks out, I would suggest you might like to put it in 8 oz of skimmed milk.  The flavor I like is chocolate (the one essential food so far as I'm concerned LOL)  I also add a little DeVinci surgar free syrup for a bit more flavor - choc of course.    When you progress to pureed foods, you might like adding a scoop to Jello brand 60-calorie pudding.  I use the single serving size because I hate weighing or measuring.  Have to be careful to read the packing because their regular puddings look the same, but have surgar and more calories

Keep up your healthy changes  You're doing great
