What Have You Lost?

I get to talk with members and coaching clients about their WLS journey. I hear so often "but I've only lost XX number of pounds." I stop them and say "only lost??" at the number they have dropped. We many times become so focused on how much more we need to lose than what the number of pounds we have lost is equivalent to.

I've lost a two-month old pony, an elephant's heart and 3 guinea pigs.....What have YOU lost?

I've posted this here before but we have lots of new OH friends that have joined so I want to share it again.

Thanks to Bette B on ObesityHelp.com, I share this with you. I think it is absolutely fantastic and gives us a real appreciation of the weight we've lost. Many times we get caught up in "I've only lost ___ pounds" but this post puts that into perspective.

Bette, thanks for the inspiration!!

Hi- I'm only 21/2 weeks out and I've lost an average 2 year old!  Thanks for the perspective.  Thanks for inviting me to joint yur group.  This is why support groups are so awesome - left lone with my sick  thoughts - the chances aren't very good that I come up with a very healthy solution by myself!

Thanks for sharing!  When I have my surgery in October and if I get to the point where I'm feeling down because the weight isn't coming off fast enough I'll be sure to look at this list and put myself in check!

Again thanks for sharing!

Thanx for posting this.  I am 5 days away from my RNY.  Have been on liquid diet and not losing as much as I think I should.  I am losing however. Thanx again for the lift.

So does this mean I've lost an Irish Setter? lol
My WL was going quite quickly, but then back to school for five people in my house, to all different schools got crazy, but I got up this morning to try and get some home workouts done, because I've been stuck at 211-212 for about two weeks. I'm so excited in the weight I've lost, but I don't want to stop here.

Sorry I've been editing trying to figure out why my tickers all of a sudden on this post keep doubling up?!
