Lose Weight Find Life
New Life Begins July 1st
Hi Laurie,
Congratulations on your surgery date. You'll go through a roller coaster of emotions which are very normal and natural.
As far as advice I can share with you, a couple of things:
1. Follow the rules of your surgeon. Look at this as a lifestyle change. Be aware that weight regain is possible and change your habits. Find out why you turn to food and change that habit to a strategy that helps you cope with those triggers that make you turn to food for comfort.
2. Don't compare yourself to anyone else. We all lose at different rates. As long as you follow the rules and change your habits, you'll lose weight and most importantly keep it off.
3. Take photos of yourself monthly. I hated this one but now I treasure those photos. Take the photo in front of a door so you can see your body shrink compared to the reference of the door frame.
Congratulations and keep us posted!!
