As a weight loss surgery coach, I hear many clients talking about things they want. They want to lose weight, they want to get back on track, they want to reach their goal weight, and all sorts of things they want. It is great to talk the talk about what you want but what are you willing to do to get it?

It isn't enough to merely want something. You must take your "want" of something to the next step and that is doing something about it. We won't lose weight, get back on track or reach your goal simply because you want it. When I regained my weight, I desperately wanted to lose it. Wanting it to be gone wasn't enough. I had to want it enough to do something about it. I put steps into place to make it happen. I tuned into my emotional eating and developed strategies that didn't include food, I stopped grazing (okay, more like 90% stopped grazing) and other habits that supported my "want."

So, what do you want? And very importantly, what are you willing to do to get it?
