Lose Weight Find Life
Non Political Post
I'm really glad the election is over. No commentary about preferences and who won/who lost but just glad it is over. I was watching a television show with my husband and kids and it was back to back political commercials. Each one trashed the other by negativity and pointing out shortcomings.
It got me to wondering about how I say some of the same things to myself! As nasty and distasteful as some of the commercials were to me, I say some of the same things to myself about myself. I am quick to point out a shortcoming (or a perceived shortcoming) and throw out some pretty negative message to me about me.
I'm going to run my own campaign inside myself saying more positive, honest and accurate things. No spin, no twisting and turning of the facts but the real deal truth.
My vote is for me for my own acceptance, respect, love and the highest role of being myself.
