I joined this group awhile ago to meet more people from my local area.  It seems that most people don't post to this location or am I missing something?? Help please.

Hi, I just had my GB 11/2/11 and was looking for a support group online and joined this one. I haven't seen any posts made recently though...looks like you have accomplished a great weight loss in a relatively short time! Congratulations!

Hi!  So far so good...started full liquid today...I have been blessed to have a fairly smooth road so far...I am in Wendell, not too far from you.  I would love to have someone to "travel" with...lol.  Was your surgery done locally?  How are you doing so far?

I had my gastric bypass done by Dr. Moran.  He has been wonderful.  I had a little bit of a rocky beginning but on track now.  My surgery date was August 4, 2011.  I am new at this as well.  I do love that I am losing weight in spite of myself yippee!! I just started back to my gym on Monday, that went alright I took it very easy.  How have you been feeling? It took me awhile to get my strength back.  I still have good days and so so days.  How about you?? Do you attend any support groups?? I go to Dr. Moran's support group.  It is nice to know that we are not too far away.  Do you have any questions?? I did very well with my surgery and through the liquid stage then as I was transitioning to the next stage I couldn't do it.  I ended up with a stricture which is very common.  They ended up fixing it and then I could move to the next stage.  Well, I must go if you want to contact me my number is 919-426-3608.  Have a super great day.

Hello...Dr. Moran did my surgery too!  He did a great job and he gave me thumbs up this week...I went to one meeting at the office and enjoyed it very much.  I had hoped to go this Saturday, but cannot make it.  I work in Louisburg and the timing can be difficult at times.  I do plan on attending the end of the month meeting.
Today was a more difficult day,  found myself emotional and weepy...no specific reason?  It has passed and I am back to baseline.  Did you get the stricture due to the soft foods?  Was it  painful?
So far so good for my journey, harder to take in full liquids/protien than I thought it would be but I made it to 63 gms. today...yeah!
I am so thankful that so far I have not had the nausea and vomiting...that is a real blessing!  Walked further today, working on increasing each day...
The wt. loss feels good...and right now it is not too hard...I even cooked supper for my hubby (a great low carb, high protien meatloaf recipe) that smelled heavenly and didn't get hungry or tempted.  It is weird...I am more interested in cooking now than I was before...go figure :-)   Hopefully we will get together at the support meeting at Dr. Moran's office...a great group of people!
My phone number is 919-696-4362 and my name is Cheryl...I hope you have a great week and look forward to talking to you soon
