Sorry to hear about your daughter.  I'm stressed right now about my mum.  She is in hospital in Scotland. (83 yrs old, stroke, fractured hip, kidney issues- too sick for surgery)  I'll probably be flying out there soon.
As rough as it feels, it must be worse when it is a child that is ill.  I hope all goes well with your daughter and the surgery is a success.

Well today I went for my first post op appt. and it went great. I am 282 lbs my BMI was 41. I have lost a total of 27.4 lbs since pre-op and 19% of my body fat. My doctor was proud of me and told me it was ok for me move to soft foods if I felt comfortable. I tried a small piece of baked salmon and was extremly uncomfortable. So I will try again tomorrow. Still no dumping and my energy level is great. Vitimans and protein going great. This was the best thing I ever done in my life besides my kids and my husband. What makes me feel even better is when people that were skeptical about the procedure see me and are shocked at how well I am doing. My support time has been awesome and I owe them so much. My husband and I have planned to renew our vows next April at Daytona Beach and I can't wait to see the new me on our wedding day.

That's very exciting! I haven't had surgery yet. My surgeon wants me to lose around 6 more pounds before surgery and for some reason it's coming off very slowly. What surgery did you choose? Please keep us updates on how it goes. It will help me know what to expect. Thanks!

I'd also like to find out if anyone's tried the Protein Gems and if they're yummy. I'd like to find a new protein to try out.
