I know how you are feeling right now ..I could not wait to have my surgery. It was the best thing I ever did. And blogging or journaling daily helped me so much and it was an inspiration to others when they read it to have the surgery.. So you are doing a great thing!

I am just starting on this journey but looking forward to every step of the way. I see it as an opportunity to scratch off another goal on my bucket list (I am really big on list and especially scratching off accomplishments). Thanks again and I look forward to participating.

Hi Everyone!
I am new to the group, just wanted to say HI!
I have surgery on 12/28... yikes... 9 days away!! :) so excited but so nervous. like right now, i am glued to OH and not doing any of my work. there is so much to do and learn before i go under the knife that i am an anxious mess right now. any advice and well wishes are welcome :) i also have become addicted to blogging so basically a play by play is available on my profile as far back as September, as well as my before pictures. i had a coworker take a picture of me in my scrubs last week and have yet to upload that pic, it is the only outfit i will be keeping so i can track my progress in pictures for the next year :)

meat, cheese and veggies. I fill up on these things so i am not tempted with other items that i would have eaten lots of pre sleeve.
I went to my first christmas party this weekend, i have not had my sleeve yet but i am on the preop low carb diet so i couldnt eat whatever i wanted. I ate lots of shrimp, some goat cheese wrapped in eggplant, and a couple meatballs. I was full and was tempted to eat some of the chips and dip but overall i was satisfied by all the yummy shrimp :)

Hello Group I so glad to be part an part of this group we so much need support after weightloss surgery I had my Gastric Bypass surgery in 1993 I weigh 438 pounds during the years I lost down to 260 pounds but over the years never reach my goal weight now weighing in 330 pounds several pounds over the years weight gain needing two knee replacements like right now but the Doctor will not operate until I lose 100 pounds so right now I need to get back on track with myself and my pouch I am consider the Revision but I now trying to exercise and watch my calorie intake even through the Holidays it has been very hard so support is very important thank God for groups like this one.

I just got back from Florida picking up my Mother in Law. I did some hard soul searching and praying and I have decided not to disolve the group. If I can touch One Person through my group , then I have done what I promised to do when I had my surgery . So in saying that ... I want to welcome the following :

I have been out sick for the last couple weeks . I have been in the hospital .. they found some areas on my brain that need further studies and could be the cause of me loosing my eye sight in my left eye and the numbness I feel in my legs and arms ..
I have notice that the group is pretty much dead ... No one post or interacts with one another . I have tried all I can to give you all tools to use .. Motivate you , but I just do not feel that my efforts are reaching you all . ... So by January 1st .. I plan on disolving the group . I am almost 8 years post op ... and honestly ... it is a little disheartening when you try so hard to give back and no one seems to care anymore .
Times are tough I know .. I promised after my surgery that I would always give back .. so maybe there is something else I can do to help others in WLS .
I will send out a more formal note once I have made a firm decision on the date the group will be disolved .

Topic: D-A-T-I-N-G......
Has anyone else wondered how things will change? Or If you think guys/girls will look at you differently if they found out that you has a gastric bypass? Does anyone feel like taking a break from the dating scene or dating only GB patients? I am a younger college student and guys are giving me attention but really I don't want them to see under my shirt... I mean you all know what our stomach's look like.... Any one else feeling this way?
