Respect your triggers.
Maybe you let your son buy chips at the store yesterday. Or you have eaten at restaurants more often lately. Did you offer to bake something to bring to a party--something you know will trigger food cravings in you? Once on the road to recovery, you may feel that you can handle more temptations. Sometimes you can. And sometimes allowing your food triggers to creep back into your life is a recipe for disaster.
Your triggers are a part of you and must be acknowledged and respected. Obesity is a deadly disease, and you have it, whether you are thin or heavy. It's time to gently tell yourself, "No." There are some foods you just can't be around safely. Staying away from a trigger food is a one-day-at-a-time challenge. But you can do it.
Action for the day: Make an honest list of your trigger foods. Are any of them in your house? Ask a friend to help you get rid of them now. It will never get any easier. Not even after you've gained 10 pounds. So do it now.

Keep it green.
There are two good reasons to keep memories of your former self fresh and green. The first reason is so that you do not repeat past mistakes. Your new self does not want to give up and go back to past behavior. The other reason to keep your past fresh in your mind is for encouragement when you are feeling you don't look any different or you aren't where you want to be.
When you look back, you can see the difference. Remember how ill you were and how much better you feel now. Although you may want to forget the pain of your obesity, the remembrance of your old self is a valuable tool for success.
Action for the day: Meditate on how you used to live your life before surgery. Close your eyes and imagine how you used to climb the stairs or how it used to feel squeezing into a chair or booth. Keep your memory green.

Believe you can overcome obesity.
To succeed at anything you first must have the belief that it can be accomplished. Even though it is imperfect, WLS can be a phenomenal tool in your battle with obesity. But, you must believe and accept that YOU can make this tool work for you. You can do this.
When you had your surgery, you looked inside yourself and found the strength to mold your own destiny. You have turned yourself around in what seemed a dark tunnel of impossibility, and you have faced the light. Surgery is the beginning of believing that you will lose weight and keep it off. It is up to you to keep this faith alive. Feed your faith as you find a healthier way to feed your body.
Action for the day: Today, write a letter to yourself, assuring yourself you are in control. This is just one way to nurture the new faith that is taking root in your life. You have the ability to succeed with WLS.

To answer your questions .
There are many ways you can tone your arms . If you have heavy cans of anything in your house .. paint cans , 5 gallon buckets . etc .. You can go out and lift these and do arm curls .
As to your butt and legs .. try this ..
Sit on the floor .. with each butt cheek , move it as if you where using it to walk. This will pull the glutes and tighten them . You can also stand on a step , place your heel on each step , and move it up and down , this will also trim the buttocks and help to firm your thighs .
Any hanging skin , unfortunately will not go away . But you can still firm up the muscle underneath. .
Here is a link to an article that I think will help you . Let me know if I can help you any further. If I run across anything else , I will let you know .
Take care ,
Tink
