Excuse -Excuses - Excuses.... Do you make them ? 

Sometimes as we go through our journey we tend to make excuses for our bad behavior in eating , exercising and our overall health care .

The one thing we must do is take those excuses and turn them into more of a reason to be accountable .
Take those excuses and examine why , when and how .

Why is an excuse needed for the choice you made .
When is this occurring ? Is there a moment that triggers you ? 
How can you change this behavior .

Don't let an excuse ruin your day ... Kill the excuse and get it done !

Iris !!! This is awesome to read !! 

I love it when it all starts to come into play .. KEEP IT UP !! 

As to the yoga ... it is great for stretching and helping to firm the muscle .
Are you looking to burn calories , tighten muscle or just lose pounds ?

I get a great work out with Jazzercise , Zumba ... and Dance ...

It cannot hurt for you to go down there and check it out .

I am so sorry you are in pain ... I know to well what you speak of .. and I feel for you . I hope you get some relief soon. I will pray for you .

And as to the work situation , both of you are out of work ? 

For me Lisa .. prayer is the only thing that ever worked for me .. and the power of positive affirmations .
I say to myself when thing like this happen , like
"My husband will get a job soon"

I truly hope you all get some answered prayers soon.

This is awesome ..
I know so well about the sleep issues .. I have them too . My pain doc wants me to stop sleeping with the tv on .. so far .. it has worked .. but I have still had nights of no sleep .

As to your bored snacking ..
Try to determine if there is a certain time of the day that this happens ..
When you think you want to snack , try going for a walk .. call a friend ..
Try to identify if there is something that is triggering this ... and work to see what you can change to end this .

I know you can do this !

3. What action or behavior . messed it up for you today if any ? Damn peanut M & Ms. I ate five when I walked past the open bag. Tomorrow is a new day.

This is an excellent start !!

Do you remember if there was anything that triggerd you to eat those M and M's ? 
Other than putting away the M and M's , what could you have done to avoid eating them .
Is there a healthier snack you can put out when you want something like this ? 
For me , I always have on hand Sugar Snap Peas .. these little joys give me crunch and sweet all at the same time .
And yes .. tomorrow is yet another day  !! 

I am sure you are going to reach your goals .. Just keep striving to reach them !

Keep it up and I am sure you will stay on track .
Accountablity to me is what holds me in place. If I make it known as to what I need to do , and either write it down or publi**** ... I normally stick to it .

Believe it or not, my greatest exercise challenge these days is not overdoing it!  It's recommended that, until my stamina returns, I do no more than fifteen minutes of aerobics every other day and put more of my efforts into stretching and toning and weight training.  On days I feel really good, I want to go further, of course...but, if I do, I will pay dearly with fever, chills, pain, etc.  Keeping the right balance, so that I can not miss doing what I am able, is not easy...I want to walk miles again and cycle and swim... 

If I haven't said it yet today, Lyme disease sucks.

I'm dealing with some major challenges right now and limited power to make the changes over them that I want.

First, there is this fg Lyme disease.  I'm taking my meds and doing everything recommended, but it still gives me fevers, joint and muscle pain, huge fatigue, nausea, diarrhea, constant neck and throat pain.  It's rough.  It affects my sleep, my eating, my exercise.  When I fight it, it beats my ass.  I'm learning to work with it, around it, to get past it.  That's a big challenge, as I want to be in control!

Next, we are out of work here and worry about money and my husband's state of mind is really rough.  I worry about him a lot.

Some other things, but those are the biggies.

Funny, but I realized that some of the first habits I needed to change were more indirectly related to weight than directly.  For instance, I need to get back on a normal sleep schedule.  I've been going between insomnia and severe fatigue and have, for the last few days, been trying to force myself out of it.  My goal is to get up at 8 and be in bed by midnight.  This will get me away from late night munching and help me keep a regular schedule for eating and getting in all my water.

I also need to stop eating and drinking together.  This one is hard to get back to!  I'm working on it.

Getting in the 64+ oz of liquids is another goal, as well as stopping "bored snacking."
