Helping Others Find Their Way to a Life They Deserve!
I just wanted to say Thank you for the message about setting goals. I found the article to be very helpful and it has jump started me with setting my goals. This was something that I had not really done yet but now I am working on them.
I also wanted to welcome all the new members. I am also a new member here and would love to hear from you. I know by talking to so many people I have found it helpful and together we can accomplish many things.
Feel free to write me anytime.
Susan

Keep in mind a true plateau happens when you are post op around 6 months out . It last for more than 3 to 6 weeks .
Someone newly post op that has a stop in weight loss is merely your body adjusting to your new eating plan . It has to rebound to adjust to your caloric intake .. your body actually gets scared you may be starving it and will try to hold on to your fat cells .
I never had a plateau , but found that others in my circle that where experiencing this , always upped their protein , water and changed their exercise to break their plateau . This worked more times than not .
I hope this article helps if you are indeed experiencing this .

My husband is on a Cpap . He is not Obese , he just has sleep apnea . I hate that gizmo.. but it works and keeps him alive .
Keep us posted on your days to come ..

So glad to have you here .
I am 5 years post op .. and have enjoyed every day of my journey .
My starting weight was 325 ,... today I am 119 .. I am struggling to keep weight on , but it is not WLS related .
What type of surgery are you going to have ?
Do you have a date ?
I look forward to being here for you as you go through your journey .
Hugs,
Tink
