Hello Tink...

What kind of protein drinks are you doing ? I use EAS AdvantEdge Carb Control Shakes which I purchase from Walmart.  They are low in calorie and carbs, I have at least 2-3 a day.  I asked my surgeon if I could continue to use them and he said whatever works for me.

What type of exercise do you do ?  I'm looking for some motivation to get me back on track with my exercise, but I Iove to walk and do weight training.  Bought some new workout music which I hope will help me burn.

Do you belong to a support group in your area  ? No, all my support comes from Obesity Help website.  My schedule working nights, wasn't convenient for me.

What is your GO TO food when you have head hunger ? Unfortunately junk

How has your self esteem changed since your surgery or your weight loss ? Yes it has.  My appearance is very important to me now.  I don't go out unless every hair is in place whether I dressed or lounging in sweats...hair, makeup, jewelery.  Lights, camera action!

What kind of protein drinks are you doing ? None. They make me vomit and taste horrible. I get all of my protein from food sources averaging about 90 - 100+ grams per day. I eat constantly now. Its weird, but I'm losing, so I go with it.

What type of exercise do you do ? Currently nothing consistent. But, I'm working on it. I have a Wii and the Fit Plus package, just have to get the sensor bar to work properly. Meanwhile, I'm slowly incorporating more walking. Shoot, I just recently got my energy back!

Do you belong to a support group in your area  ? Nope. But I do attend the group at my hospital, its in NC. Its quite entertaining and the info is helpful.

What is your GO TO food when you have head hunger ? Bacon, eggs, tuna, shrimp, crab, beans, steak, cheese, and salad (with some of the aforementioned proteins added in).

How has your self esteem changed since your surgery or your weight loss ? My surgery event was a bit traumatic and I believe that has made me re-assess myself and life. I've found that I'm more ME again. Self-esteem has never been an issue for me, so I don't see any difference there. I'm thrilled to be back in my old clothes (at the moment), but I'm really excited to see where I end up. I'm so glad I don't have to do any clothes shopping until I'm closer to goal. Gives me more time to save up!

Good Morning Everyone!

Sometimes we surprise even ourselves!  I have been extremely well handling the day shift and better than I thought I would do with my eating.  I have been so busy adjusting to my new hours, I forget to eat!  Trying to adjust my schedule a little more because I'm not getting in enough protein, and other than taking the stairs at work...no exercise  . Hopefully I will made a better adjustment within the next week.

Good for you ! I knew you would be fine .
Try not to forget to eat .. even if you have to set your alarm on your cell phone . You do not want your surgar to drop . As to getting in enough protein ... Can you take or make a protein shake at work ?

You can also take other things like jerky , deli meats ... yogurt ... etc ...

I use the protein drink called Achiev1. I love it .. especially if you like coffee.

Keep us posted ... and keep walking those stairs !!

Tink
