Awesome post Molly!  It really helps all of us to take a real good look in the mirror and see ourselves and not blame anyone or anything when we fall off the wagon.  Thanks for sharing!

Hey Molly,

Thanks for your posts.  I think all of us have been there a time or two on this journey but you said something very important, knowing that we are imperfect and cannot beat up on ourselves for our mistakes but instead learn to refocus back on our goals.

You can do it and it seems like your getting back to basics.  I know if I did not have the lord on my side to guide and lead me, I dont know how i would make it through this journey.  Praying for much success for you in your WLS.

Topic: Hello all - A little about Molly's journey for a better life
I had Gastric Bypass surgery October 2004. I have been morbidly obese all my life. I have a lifetime of mental and physical scars from obesity. I will be 45 years old this year.

In March 2010 I had gained back 80 of almost 300 pounds lost initially. I started posting back to OH.com hoping to get back on track. I never reached my goal of 200 pounds. Since I need help staying focused on my goals I joined this group. Since March 2010 I have lost 16 pounds.

I have joined several on line groups and face to face groups.  I am determined to do WHATEVER it takes to reach my goals.  I am imperfect and have learned not to beat myself up for mistakes I continue to make sometimes.  I am back to exercising almost every day.  Usually 5 to 6 days a week.  Exercising is the easier thing for me to do.  Eating habits is my downfall but I am a work in progress and with my desire to succeed and help from the support system I have created for myself I have no doubt that I will reach my goals.

Surgery can not fix the head. It is a good tool and the best gift I have given to myself. I want to reach my goal and maintain weight loss.

I look forward to getting to know you and participating in the group. It is my hope that there will be an interchange of encouragement and that we can help each other. Thanks in advance for your support.

Hugs,
Molly

I think I remember you!!  Wow!  I am from Chicago and I have been on telephone support groups for the last 2 months.  I missed one Monday evening because I am going to another group for support that is face to face, but I plan on being there every 3rd Thursday.  Colleen McCook did the meeting this last Thursday!!  A real treat!

Thanks Tink!  I have to weigh everyday also.  When I stopped weighing daily I gained a lot of weight bac****il in March of this year I said no more and start posting back on OH.com after seeing that I needed help.  When you say bounce back weight are you talking about regained weight?  If so I will contact you because I have regained over 80 pounds in 3 years time and I am determined to get that off 1st and I never made it to my goal weight.  2010 my focus is getting the regained weight off 1st and then I will focus on my other goals.  Thanks for support and I think I am going to love this group.  I like the fact everyone is require to participate.

Hugs,
Molly

Topic: OH COST MESA EVENT

Good Morning fellow OHers...
I wanted to write this morning before I left California from the OH Event . I cannot stress enough how great this event was . When we think of OH we think of internet site . Let me tell you it is more than some internet site . It is a site for Events and more Events.
If you go to the web site and check the events left ... try to come out to one . You will never forget the time of your life you will have .
I have met more friends here this weekend.
Bo Mcoy .. you are the best . OH knew what they were doing making you the leader of sales and the MC . I love you and will nevre forget how welcoming you made us all feel . I cannot wait to see you again .. and attend the next one .

So if you think this is just some internet site .. you are wrong .. this is a site of Love , friends and Events you will never forget .

I am sure there will be more post .. but for me ... this to me has to be the best one I have attendend.

Thank you OH for making me feel even more like family .

Hi Tori Ann, so glad to have a chance to get to know you. I'm 52, married (27+ years) mom of 3 grown sons. All are still in college and right now living at home. I love having them at home for now.
I had RNY on 12-21-09. I've lost 70 pounds and feel good. I'm very happy with having had surgery and how I feel. I love hanging out with family, friends. I really like to read. My dog and parakeets are a fun part of my life. I like gardening too.
I'd love to not be afraid of riding a Harley. It would be fun if I could get past my fear.
Thanks for introducing yourself.
Hugs,
Annie
