You are so welcome! I like this one a lot too! Because I wholeheartedly feel that we should spread the word about our gift with so many being morbidly obese and super morbidly obese too. People are more apt to research when they know someone personally who have had the surgery. When people hide it, it is a form of not giving back to me. I do respect ones who choose to keep a wrap on it, but I still feel more could be help if more did not keep it a secret.

In most cases someone finds out anyways when people try to keep it a secret.

Hugs,
Molly

Thanks Molly, I love the idea of brushing my teeth to tell my brain that I'm done eating. You are a great encourager.

I find drinking water, chewing gum and brushing teeth help me not want to graze at night time and during the day.

Hugs,
Molly

Daily Inspiration for July 24, 2010 Katie Jay, MSW

Don't keep it a secret.

You have been given a great gift with WLS--the opportunity to be free of obesity. Even though the WLS lifestyle can require a lot of effort, most WLS patients would not trade their opportunity for anything. WLS is a hopeful process, with many rewards.

In addition to keeping an attitude of gratitude, be sure to pass along your discovery. Be the light in someone's life who needs the kind of hope you now have.

Action for the day: How can you pass along an opportunity for a better life to someone else in need? Meditate on that today, and come up with an action you can take.

Sometimes I just hate the empty tumby feeling so I go for something warm. I'll do my cream of soup from lipton ( 60 cals) Or my nut was ok with oatmeal - I get the sugar free, low sugar or the weight control (has the most protein with whey isolate and 1 gram sugar) If I plan for the snack, then I'm more mindful and less tempted with mindless snagging (snack/grabbing LOL)
