MY ERODED STALISTIC BAND .,

SWEET Tink

7 Years ago, I chose to have the RNY surgery; I also chose to have a stalistic band placed at the stoma, the opening before your food dumps. Well, over time and steroid use, my stoma has worn through and is or has been causing me to throw up and give me all sorts of gastritis.  This past week I have spent in the hospital, I started up here in Northern Va. The doctors here, Dr, Moaza had no idea how to handle it as he was not familiar with me as I was not his patient. So they put me in an ambulance and transported me down to St. Mary’s hospital in Richmond. There I met with Dr. Monroe a gastrointestinal doctor. He decided to do an EGD. There he found a fistula, and a blockage from the plastic ring. The only solution is to put a stint in there and push the ring out. The first attempt to just look was a nightmare. They could not get me to go down as the ambulance attendendent had filled me full of morphine so I was awake for the entire procedure.   The doctors decided the next day they would put the stint in. If this did not work, surgery would be the only way to get it out. Now my abs is full of mesh and a hot mess. No one, and when I say no one.. Wants to work on my ab area. So by the grace of God the stint is in and for the next 2 months I have to eat soft foods only . The goal is for the stint to fall almost out, and they go in and retrieve it,. So please think positive thoughts for me that this procedure goes well and I can once and for all get over this part of my Gastric issues. I have missed you all.. Hope all of you are doing well into the New Year. God bless and take care, Tink
