The Little Black Dress

So it's been forever since I have posted something and recently I realized I'm 6 months post op - HOLY CRAP!!  While things have been crazy, trying to recoup from the complications and figuring out this new body of mine - I've had some interesting mile stones.

#1 - The Little Black Dress

I was able to shop with my friend, in the same store, in the "normal" section.  I cried.  It was the strangest thing ever.  Never before have I ever shopped "with" my friend.  We always went to her stores and then to my plus size stores.  Added to this, I have never, ever worn a short dress.  And heels?  Please!  So I found myself out shopping for our staff Christmas party, I'm a size 16 now (used to be a 26+) and not only did I buy a cute little black dress, but high heels.  I was dressed like a woman.  I felt so sexy (although no one told me how cold winter winds could be in a short dress LOL).  If you want to see the picture, check out my pictures.

#2 - Skating

It turns out I LOVE to skate.  I'm not particularly great at it, but OMG it is so much fun.  This new found freedom was given to me through my weight loss.  I have gained more confidence, stability and flexibility.  Again, my pics LOL.  I am becoming a real enthusiast of physical exercise.  Go figure.

I am so blessed in my life and can't wait for this new year to unfold.  I am starting my training to run a marathon this year.  I am so stoked.  I am going to go sky diving this summer too.  I plan on fully living my life with everything I have.  No excuses, no regrets and with total love and joy.  I hope everyone has an amazing 2011!

Lots of love,
Michelle

Congratulations Michelle,
I'm so excited for you. This journey is amazing.
I'll never forgot the time I shopped in the "regular" woman's clothes area. I still am amazed every time.
Celebrate every step on this journey.
Hugs~

Michelle,  I am so proud of you. I want to see pictures of you in that little black dress. Also, a marathon!! If that is not a big WOW moment I don’t know what is. Please keep us informed on how that goes. You are truly inspiring and you should be so proud of yourself. Thank you for sharing this and I hope it inspires others to get on here and share their WOW moments. Again... Congratulations!! Believe, Believe, And Believe!!!   Love and Light, Tink
