Hi my name is Melody. Im new to the group and was asked to post something about me. Im a 31 yr old Law Student in Denver, Co. single mother of an 11girl. I had the RNY surgery on 11/08/10. Its been a rough few weeks, infections, nausea, and strictures. But Im hoping this too will pass and things will get better.

Hi Melody,
Thanks for posting a little about yourself. You are in the hard part of this process. It seems for a lot of people that at week 10 you turn a corner. Those first weeks are hard no question about it.
I live in Colorado too. Please let us know how we can encourage you.
Hugs~

Welcome to the group Melody.  Sorry to hear about your complications.  Trust me, they will pass and things will get better.  I was sick for about 2 months after the surgery and even ended up back in the hospital.  At the time it was hard to believe things would get better, and I had big time buyer's remorse.  But things did get better and they will for you, too.

Best wishes.

Hi Melody, hang in there. I've just started the pre-op process and I keep wondering if I'll make it. However, I hear nothing, but uplifting things from the group so believe in yourself and keep going. You've come this far, it can only get better.
