Optifast
I never had to do optifast so I'm not really sure. Do you know how many calories you are taking in? Are you eating any solid food? For me, after surgery I was not hungry for about 9-10 weeks. The fluid/soft/pureed food worked great at filling me up. Are you drinking enough water?
Hopefully someone will respond that has been on optifast and prob it is different for everyone.
Keep us posted.

Hi Annie;
The Optifast is the pre-op diet that the program has told me I have to be on for 2 weeks. I'm not complaining too much as some people have to be on it for 3 - 4 weeks. From what I have been told I am allowed Crystal Light, black tea, black coffee, water, broth, jello and sugar free popsicles. I am consuming 900 calories a day and since doing this I have lost 10 lbs in the past week. I am not eating anything solid and finding some solace in chewing gum (I miss the chewing). I do not start the fluid/soft/pureed until after the surgery. =) I am drinking lots of water and find that when I get hungry - I GET HUNGRY, however a cup of broth or some jello or the Optifast (depending on the time and my taste at the time) will be more than sufficient. I never thought I would EVER say that. LOL.
I am feeling my energy come back, which is nice. I was tired for the first several days and all I wanted to do was sleep. I am now getting more exercise (YAY ME!) which has helped with the energy levels and have developed a routine with my "food" which has really helped. I am participating in a charity baseball tournament this Saturday which will be a lot of fun.
Take care,
Michelle
