Hello; I am not new to OH, but I am new to LifeStarts and I am looking forward to getting to know the members and to sharing stories, ups and downs.  I am now 17 weeks out from RNY and have lost 87.2 lbs and I feel fantastic!  There were no complications with the surgery and I am at the point where I am eating pretty much anything; very slowly and smaller portions of course.  I can't believe the energy I have and how fast I am growing out of my clothes.  It is actually kind of frustrating because I can't wait to be able to get into clothes that I haven't been able to wear for years and when I do, I can only wear them for a short time.  But that is a frustration I can live with!  I have been married for 27 years (come July 1) and my DH has been absolutely wonderful throughout this whole experience. He is so supporitive as are my children, extended family and co-workers.  I have been overweight most of my life although not really to the extreme until I got married.  I think I was 240 when I got married so my hubby has never seen me below that weight; so that is something for him and I to look forward to!

I'm glad you found Life-Starts. Thanks for telling us about yourself. It's great your experience has been a good one and that you have awesome support. I had RNY 12-21-09, so I'm 5+ months out. I've lost 75 pounds and 30 inches. I feel very good. I still have times where food just doesn't settle well, a bit of nausea from time to time but I'm very glad I had the surgery.
I agree, it is frustrating but wonderful to have to trade out clothes so often. I have not seen the 100's on the scale for many years.
My husband, family & friends have been very supportive and encouraging.  I go to a couple of WLS support groups and visit OH every day. It has been helpful for me. I love meeting new folks and getting new recipes.  Have a wonderful weekend. Here in Colorado it is rainy and cloudy. I miss the sun today.
Have a fun & restful weekend.
Hugs
Annie

Good for you!  Sounds like you are doing fantastic; I can't wait to see the 100's!!  I was thrilled to see the 200's LOL!  I too try to visit OH every day and I love that I can find someone who has experienced or is currently experiencing whatever I am going through at any given time.  For instance, like you said about nausea; I do occasionally get nauseated with certain foods as well.  Right now my hair is coming out :P.  I posted on OH and lo and behold, I got numerous tips about it. You gotta love it!   I am in MD and it is beautiful; a little hot and slightly humid but it is better than rain.

Thanks!  I am glad to be here.  I hope I continue to lose at the same pace; I would like to reach 100 by the end of July.  I need to increase my exercises; especially my walking.  I need to find an exercise that can firm my butt; it is getting flabby! LOL  My hubby smacked me on the rear end yesterday (playfully) and said that it felt like a sponge!  He said "It used to be firm."  So I will search exercises to see what I can find.  Sounds like you are doing terrific still; I hope things keep going well for you.
