This week was one of my most successful since transitioning from night work to day.  Carrying my "Survival Bag" and eating what's in it has been the key.  We have a full service cafeteria, and I found that there Vegetarian Mediterranean Chop Salad which I love is very high in calories.  It contains walnuts, feta cheese, dried cranberries and Mandarin oranges is delicious but not as low calorie as I would like to believe.  Making my own, has really made a difference.

Since having my surgery I have a new found respect for those that have had the surgery and able to reach their goal weight while dealing with the temptations of food during the day.  My prayer is too continue in my successful eating pattern and get to my goal weight before the end of the year.

Peace & Blessings,

Dear Dreamgirl,
Way to go. New thinking leads to new behavior. Making your own lower calorie meals makes so much sense.  For me it is day by day sometimes moment by moment choices that add up to my new healthier way of eating and living. I too pray to continue in this new way of living. I pray I never forget where I was.
Thanks for your encouragement to make daily good choices.
Blessings

I have  learned that it is better for me to prep as much of my own food as possible. I was amazed at how many calories were in things I thought were ok for me. It is a learning process.

I want to be a good role model for my 2 year old. I don't want him to have the same eating issues that I have.

Good luck with reaching your goal weight before the end of the year. Sounds like your are making the right choices to get you there.
