Hi everyone, I'm a newbie here, but spend a lot of time on the Duodenal Switch boards.  I am scheduled for a DS on May 25, with Dr. Hares in Michigan.  Life is very overwhelming this week, as I am preparing for my surgery.  I look forward to getting to know all of you here in this group.

Welcome Bonnie,
I so remember those days before surgery. It is busy, overwhelming with such wavering emotions. I wavered between peace and anxiety.  I'm almost 5 months out and am so glad I had my surgery. Physically is wasn't too bad, emotionally it was harder dealing with all the food issues.  Take one day at a time, be patient with yourself. Do you have good support?
Praying for you~

I am doing my best to get through this week, making demands on my children and very supportive hubby.  I am only looking forward, and can't wait to recapture my life.

Thank you for the prayers!
