21 DAY CHALLENGE OF CHANGE - DAY 3

Exercise ...

Have you challenged your Exercise Regimen lately ?
Are you exercising ?

If you are not exercising .. have you asked yourself Why not ?
Exercise was the key in my weight loss . I heard early out from some long term post ops that they did there very best when they exercised .
I found my greatest weight loss occurred on the weeks that I swam the most .

If you are not exercising and but want to get started .. I would suggest walking . Walking short brisk walks is as good as doing long lasting cardio .

Exercise needs to be fun .. it needs to challenge you .. it needs to be done daily .

I know there are so many of us out here that have never exercised a day .. but I am here to testify .. I had never exercised before my RNY .. but I began walking .. then by month 3 I was running . You can do this .. You must not let it scare you . It is ok to sweat .. trust me .. LOL

Try to incorporate this mantra .. " You must move to lose "

I challenge each of you to try something new this week .
Join a gym ,
Go for a walk ..
Go for a swim ..
Just get out there and move . It will jump start that metabolism .. and it is soo good for your over all health .

Happy Exercising !!

Guess what ??????? The scales moved. I lost a pound this past week. 210.6 this morning. I realize that may not be the last I see of the dreaded stall but - the scale moved.

I met my Mom at the park yesterday for a walk. 2.5 miles in just over 30 minutes. It was wonderful. My Mom has always walked circles around me. I've never been able to keep up with her. I'm pleased to announce that yesterday - I set the pace, led the way and talked while we walked. Oh what a great WOW moment.

I think I'm going to try a yoga class this week. A studio just opened down the street and it looks quite interesting to me. Any thoughts?

As to the yoga ... it is great for stretching and helping to firm the muscle .
Are you looking to burn calories , tighten muscle or just lose pounds ?

I get a great work out with Jazzercise , Zumba ... and Dance ...

It cannot hurt for you to go down there and check it out .
Let me know how this works out for you !

Great Job !!

Believe it or not, my greatest exercise challenge these days is not overdoing it!  It's recommended that, until my stamina returns, I do no more than fifteen minutes of aerobics every other day and put more of my efforts into stretching and toning and weight training.  On days I feel really good, I want to go further, of course...but, if I do, I will pay dearly with fever, chills, pain, etc.  Keeping the right balance, so that I can not miss doing what I am able, is not easy...I want to walk miles again and cycle and swim...

If I haven't said it yet today, Lyme disease sucks.
