I agree. Having to see Dr. Ray, really only added 2 weeks to our process compared to those who met the 10%. Given the amount of time that the whole process takes, that 2 weeks is nothing.

Remember, once we get our authorization from Kaiser, we can also elect to call PB ourselves, which may help in setting up a faster appointment. My work is only 10 minutes away from Scripps Mercy, so I plan on telling them that if someone cancels their appointment, that I'd like to be on call. I also plan to pretty much do the same with surgery times. I have the time off available from work, so it's just a matter of them telling me, "hey, we have a cancellation, can you be in in two days?", and I'd be ready to go.

Honestly, I think the process of of our labs, fitness test, appointments, and surgery, will be much quicker than the 6 months of classes that we just completed!

PS: I too have some smileys that I've wanted to use and never sure when I'd get to! Such as  and . Hehehe

I saw Kris when I had my visit with Dr. Ray. She did say that she'll get back online again as she misses interacting with everyone. Hopefully we'll see her back here soon.

No, not yet.

BUT I am impressed that they are scheduling (Kaiser) things so quickly.

I know Pacific Bariatric is another story.... guess with them we just have to wait patiently to get our date for the three meetings...then (AGAIN) wait patiently for a surgery date....then wait patiently (AGAINNNN) for that day to come.

Bottom line...another summer of fatness, but maybe a skinny Christmas

PS. Have really been wanting to use the afro simely, but there is never an appropriate time. So, there, I just did it!

How many calorie are you getting in each day with the two drinks and meal? You might not be taking in enough, or might need to add a little more protein in your meal to help curb the hunger feeling.

But hang in there! We've done so much work to get where we are right now, surgery will be just around the corner.

Hehe, sorry ladies. I went straight to school from work and got stuck into my final paper for my logic class. Sorry about that.

I didn't even get a chance to weigh-in at Kaiser today. But I did weigh in on Monday when I had my visit with Dr. Ray and was down 1lbs within the 4 days from my prior weigh-in. I will admit, that during those four days, I didn't stick to my medifast and enjoyed some chockie easter eggs!

don't know where my last week's post went but I did check-in!  I'm 236#, I think thats a 3# wgt loss, but I've yo-yo-ing for the past 3 wks. Had my meeting with Dr. Ray - everything went smoothly.  I've been struggling with actually being hungry (I know , I know all of you have the opposite problem) but for the past 2 1/2  yrs I've had little appetite due to pain & depression --I just never lost any weight by NOT eating & have been forcing myself to eat the past 6 mos.  I switched to 2 Costco protein drinks/day + a healthy meal BUT now I'm STARVING.  I want to eat everything in sight!  Is it my body rebelling as surgery comes ever closer?

Topic: RE: 4/28/11 Weigh-in
This week,  between Easter and a family B-Day, it was a rough week.  This AM I weighed 278, up 5 lbs. from last week.   I hope to do better next week.   I was stressed about the weigh in at the fitness walk-I was at 274.9 that day(Monday) but  no comment was made.  Like Glamis_girl is anticipating, the weekend caught up with me.   I really miss the discussions that made me look at what I was doing and why.  I don't know about any of you, but I find that not knowing what is coming next-when and where or if  the call is coming from PB-creates an additional stress that I sooth by mindless eating.  I find myself going into the kitchen and opening cabinets and the refrigerator even though I know I am not hungry in an attempt to make that edgy feeing go away.

I also watch the show Ruby, and I can really relate to what is happening with her now, starting with a few pounds gained and then it's 50 lbs.  I really want this yo-yo to stop.  Thanks to everyone who is keeping real by weighing in here each week.

I hope they call you soon too!  That is great news for everyone.  Can you call Veronica and help set her up on the website?  Her number is on the card that came with her gift.  She said she really wants to get on.  What happened with Deborah?
