It took about 10 days from having my lab work done to receiving my referral to Pacific Bariatric. I got a letter in the mail from Kaiser saying that I had been referred. Then it was probably another 3-4 days before PB called me to schedule my appointment, which was about a week later. So in total, you're probably looking at 20 or so days from having labs done to having an appointment at PB.
I'm just counting down the days to my surgery date, and keeping my fingers crossed that a cancellation may come up sooner. I'm very worred about having surgery only 4 days prior to starting my first semester at SDSU.

So I am telling you all this because I had no idea that I was damaging my heart and didn't feel it. Also I would have gone to the PSG and I am sure I wouldn't be allowed to have the surgery without fixing it. Go get that machine!! Deb
I recently started being dedicated to my supplement regimen, preparing for surgery and the changes afterwards, yet it seems like all of a sudden, I am constantly hungry. It's not like I'm wanting eat all the bad foods that I'll never be able to touch again, it's not that at all. It's more that I am really REALLY hungry! Instead of a cup of spaghetti squash, I want two cups. I'm not sure what it is, but I'm battling with it to make sure I keep within my specified calorie intake.
I also started using a great app on my phone, called MyFitnessPal. I'm tracking all my food intake (everything, yes, even the bad stuff) as well as my workouts. The other thing I love about the app is that it has a barcode scanner built in, so rather than having to search for a specific food item to enter it into my daily tally, I can simply scan the barcode with my phone's camera and it loads all the information....FREAKING AWESOME!!!!
On top of that, I've added in an extra workout during the days. My gym opened a location just down the street from my work, so now I spend my lunch breaks adding in an additional 30 minutes of cardio.
I'm still hoping for that phone call in regards to a surgery cancellation, but in the mean time, Im trying to keep myself honest and on track to changing my life!
I miss you ladies, we seem to be losing more and more from this group as we go! COME BACK.....please???

I would definitely call Kaiser PC to see what is happening. They should have atleast got you set up to re-take your urine testing. I know that all the labs need to be completed before they send your file onto Pacific Bariatric. They shouldn't have left you waiting this long.
