Hope everything is OK. Anxiety can be extremely difficult to get under control. Kaiser has free classes to help you deal with anxiety. I took a few last December. They taught some coping skills that helped.
After the positive choice classes I went on Weigh****chers, Slim Fast and Nutri System to try and maintain..I failed on all of them. I'm good for a week or two, then I dunno what happens. I guess the food switch in my head gets flipped back to "naughty" instead of "focused".
The diet from Dr. Tanaka acutally seems to be helping. The pounds aren't dropping quickly, but I have lost a pound or two each week. I do fabulous during the week, weekends are a little harder. I eat one of my favorite foods each weekend, and try and stay away from parties with friends. I tend to cheat if I go out on the weekends. If I stay at home I do pretty good.
Good Luck...trying to lose weight sucks. Let me know if it works for you

Hey Sian,
I am so sorry about the other day...I should have gotten your ph. # too. I ended up going to Irvine that night (and staying overnight) for my daughters soccer tournament. They can in first YAY!
I told my teenage boys to make sure they answered the phone when you called to tell you what was up, but apparently they "missed" your call. I think they just didn't care cuz they are teenagers and they only care about things that benefit them... that's just what i think really happened.
So sorry to flake, I'm really not a flake.
The iphone is starting to recover. It blinked the apple icon on and off for a few days. Then if it was plugged in it would (kinda) work when it wanted to. And today it is actually holding a charge! It's tripping a little bit, but at least I have all my contacts and calendar!
I will call ya this week and maybe we can walk

I am so sorry to hear about your house. Obviously, I haven't been on the site for a while. Congrats on your date and thanks for the tip to answer your phone. I am really hoping for a move up to my date.

So you are done with your appointments as well? I got a call for my surgery date Tuesday or Wednesday of the following week so you should have your date soon. Mine is 8/25 but I don't know it I can do it then because of school. I'm hoping for a cancellation but due to anxiety have been eating my way up the weight ladder. Hope you are doing well and enjoying the warm weather. the dog was super cute and the doc was a character as well. Talk to you soon.

Ok, I called PB and the lady advised me that they usually sent the packet around 3-4 weeks prior to surgery. So since my surger date is later than yours, I'll probably see my pre-op packet arrive in a couple of weeks. But I'm still following what yours says and also the diet that Dr. Tanaka gave you.

Oh, I hear ya there! I had a colonoscopy a few years back and the prep day was awful. My ass literally was on fire. I wanted to purch myself over the side of the tub and dip my butt in a tub full of cold water! It was horrible, so if that is anything to go by, I'll be doing the same as you.
Im definitely going to call through on Monday and find out about my packet, as I was given a surgery date a month ago today, so you'd think I'd have it by now.

I got the CD at the Doctor visit, but this waspart of a packet mailed after they called to give me my surgery date. She said it would be coming in 1-2 weeks from her phone call. It has all kinds of forms to fill out and a check list of stuff to bring to the pre-op appointment.
FYI...I got an early pre-op hospital appointment so I can take the milk of magnesia after. Otherwise, you have to crap constantly, and I don't like crapping in public restrooms

Hmm, I didn't get anything like that after I got my date call, and that was over a month ago. I might have to give them a call and see if it's something they forgot.
I did get a CD for the computer with all their information about pre and post op, but nothing like this.
