I have vowed not to jump onto the scale until my one week post-op to see what I have lost. But I put on one of my new Lane Bryant bras yesterday and at the smallest sizing, it was too big. I was very happy. Also my tups feel ways loose now. Many peaple say they can see weigh loss in my face, but I wonder if it is just knowledge of my surgery that helps them see that.

Im aching to get to the gym, bur I know I need to heal up first.

Congrats Shelley. What an amazing job! What is your exercise routine like and when did you go from just walking after surgery to full blown workouts?

Also, what does your daily food intake look like now?

It really does affect all of us differently, so I highly recommend to not go into surgery with any expectations but just to think positive.

Glad to hear that you are feeling better and up and about.

I usually have insomnia but since surgery I have slept really well. Night time is the time I dose up on pain meds, so Im sure that helps.

Also keep in mind that we have not done much during the days, compared to what we are use to, so it could be that our bodies simply are not tired enough. Have you tried all the alternative options? Like decaff sleepy time tea?

So, this past week I've developed a weird sleeping schedule.  I can't sleep for more than 4 hours and it's usually during the day.  Other OH'ers seem to have this problem too.  Any of you have trouble sleeping?  Anything work to get you to sleep?

Hi Becca!

I had a stall after my first week!  In the first week I lost 20lbs, but then I gained back 4.  I think I was dehydrated, so now that I've gotten more liquids in, I gained tha****er weight back that I lost.  In this past week though I haven't lost anymore weight.  Everyone says I look thinner each day though, so I think I need to break out the measuring tape too  :)

Hi Everyone!  I'm two weeks out from my surgery and finally feeling better.  The past two weeks I've been, weak, tired, sick, and vomitting.  Yesterday things started to turn around, and today I finally got something besides water and protein shake down.  I had a rough go from the start.  I had to stay in th hospital an extra day because I was having anxiety attacks and migranes.  One week out I saw Dr. Tanaka, an he was still concerned with my progress.  I go back on thursday to see him again.  I'm confident I'll get a good report.

Sara and I were in the hospital at the same time, and she looked amazing.  I heard Sian walked a mile and a half one day while she was there.  Becca is back to work.  It seems like my experience so far is not the norm.  Good luck to everyone, and I hope you all do wonderfully as you recover and thrive.
