 Hi Kris-

Yeah I had the bypass and am stalled at 90 lbs.  I can't believe it has been over a year since we have seen each other.  I am so happy to hear from you!  I have a lot of flapping skin too and am having a hard time realizing that I am in the 100's now-not the 300's or the 200's but  the 100's!  I will call you abut getting together which I would love to.  See you soon.

Marianne,

Good to hear from you!!! I've been wondering how you're doing! You had the gastric bypass, right?  I'm sure you've lost alot more weight than I.  With the sleeve it's always slow going. But has kicked up somewhat since I work out everyday.  It seems that I'm losing sizes more than I'm losing pounds. Down to a size 12 now and a large shirt!!!! It's so exciting to be this small again! I can't remember when I was able to wear this size, it's been so long!
I went to Barbara's class to speak on August 2nd. They were in their 17th week at the time.  It was hard speaking in public. I felt like I was boring people to death. But at least some people asked questions.  I kind of just had everything in my mind I was going to tell them.  Including the ungreatful flapping skin under my arms that doesn't want to go back to normal. And the horrible stretched out skin between my thighs. UGH!!!! All the exercise in the world isn't going to get rid of it! Don't know how my belly will retract since I'm not down to that part yet. Hopefully it won't give me as much of a problem as the other two.
How is your summer going?? Would love to see you!! We should get together and go for a walk or have a small salad somewhere. Tell me how you've been doing!!

Miss ya,
Kris

That"s great!  I have been at the same weight for awhile but I know I am not as active as I should be.  I am happy to hear you are doing well.

Finally been losing weight like crazy again. I work out every day now and the weight has been coming off like before. I'm now finally down 71 pounds and according to the Doc's I have 19 pounds til goal weight. I want to be lighter than that, so my goal is 135, so that would make it another 42 pounds for me. I think I can do it! I'm hoping my body lets me. I've been juicing and taking health supplements. I, too, have had the occasional alcoholic beverage and sugar foods or snacks, and chips. But very few and far between. I'm uaually always on a plan and I stick to it. I have my 16 yr old niece here visiting for 12 days while I entertain her everyday or take her senior pictures, she's keeping me pretty busy. AND my hair is finally coming back in!! THANK GOD!!!!

Would Love to hear from others of their progress and how they're doing!!!!

Sincerely,
Kris(tine)

Hi Sian-

I am so happy to hear about your life.  You deserve everything wonderful that is happening to you.    How much more do you have in school for your chosen degree?  It seems like this year has flown by so I am sure you will finish in no time.  I hope you have a wonderful summer.  I also miss everyone and hope to hear from others soon.  Love ya!

My gosh, I don't even know where to start with all that has been happening.

Most of you might remember, I went home to Australia for Chrismas and New Years and I had a wonderful time. My parents were in awe of how I looked and while there I reached my 100lbs lost mark. So it was a celebration all round.

Upon coming back, I went straight back into school, my second semester at SDSU. It was one hell of a semester, but I got through it and continue to keep going.

On top of that, I also met someone who makes me feel so special. At first he said he only wanted to be friends, and I was cool with that, a little pissed off, but overall cool. So we hung out as friends but I guess he couldn't resist the Aussie charm!! Hahaaa. He is amazing, and he seems to be just as crazy over me as I am of him. He is also very supportive of my WLS and keeping me on track. I work out with him at the gym four times a week and he's teaching proper lifting techniques to give my skinny arms some muscle definition.

As of May, I have reached my goal of 165lbs. I'm sure I'll lose a little more than that, but I'm just so excited to be at my goal at 9 months out. I cannot believe how time has flown by since surgery. Do you all remember when it seemed like forever to actually get a surgery date?? Now we are all living life. I'm down to a size 10, from a 22-24. Pretty much my whole wardrobe is empty as I was blowing through clothes like crazy, and I'm not keeping my prior fat clothes!!

I hope you all are doing wonderfully. I miss you all, but I know you all are out and about living your new skinny lives!

Topic: How is everyone?
I hope everyone is doing well.  It seems hard to believe that soon will be the one year mark for some of you.  Today is my 6 month anniversary and although I have had no weight loss this month, I feel as if my body looks totally different.  I miss seing and talking to each of you.  I am wondering if any of you are going to support group meetings?  I would like to attend something that meets in the North County, even if there is a fee.  I know from our January get together that may of us have had life altering changes such as moving, planning on moving, ending relationships, starting new relationships, etc.  I'd like to hear from everyone about all these things.  Love you!

Topic: RE: I Moved....
I'm down to #159 this past week.  I'm so happy I broke past the 160's - 169# range I kept yo--yoing
between it seems for months !!!  I seem to continue being weak and just walking around like going out to do outside activities puts me in bed for days & that is usually using an electric wheelchair.  Just dealing with everyday life is exhausting.  I keep being told that I almost died twice and that this is to be expected but meanwhile I'm just getting flabbier & flabbier. I was in & out of the hospital for most of March with falls & hitting my head - they sent me to Scrippp-Mercy and they have the best hospital food I ever tasted  ( & being a nurse, missing your break... you eat food from a hospital tray of patients who have been discharged ) so I know hospital food!  It was a shame when we were there all we got were popsicles!  Hope things are getting settled in your new home & you're getting back to your normal routine.  How many more lbs. do you plan to lose? Is your body getting toned?  I plan on losing 29 more lbs. but I have to still force myself to eat and I wonder if the weight loss will continue beyond that  (I'm hoping  the issue of staying in the 160's was my only "plateau" period), and that my appetite improves.  Take care & let me know how all is going.

Geesus... and I'm complaining about a house. I really hope things get on track for you :(

It makes me sad that it has been so rough for you... why didn't you tell us sooner!!! I would have come to the hospital and been ur nursemaid for a night! Even tho class has been out for almost a year... you can still ask for anything at all from me. I care about you!! Forever and always. We are all in this together! From start to finish.
