Glad to hear that you finally had your turn Marianne, and that it all went well.
I had a few bites for Thanksgiving, but I still do not have much of an appetite, so it was a small mouthful of turkey, some mashed sweet potatos and a spoonful of stuffing. I struggle to eat daily, so I choose to pull in most of my protein via shakes and unflavored protein powder in chicken soup. My stomach seems to cramp up anytime I try something different, and most of the time results in it coming back up. Seems I have a very sensitive stomach!!
You are going to see that weight melt off now!! =)

 Hi everyone-

I had my surgery on Nov. 17 and was home by Sunday the 20th.  Everything went fine but I now dealing with a rash on my abdomen.  Also, my stomach is not hungry, but my mouth is.  Everyone came to my house on Thanksgiving and a few things were very tempting for my mouth.  I was able to see DR. Rumsey the day before so at least I could eat yogurt  that day.  It was really fun to have everyone there.

hi sian......I'm not as lucky as you with my mane, I've always had thin fine hair so I'm using volumizing products...what is amazing to me is how fast my hair is growing. I think I'm growing an inch a month where as I used to grow an inch a year!!!! Yes, in between your 2 trips we have to go over to the living room for tea.....or, we could have tea at mi casa, I am only 3 blocks from the shcool.....enjoy your trip to CO....see ya:)D

Yeah, I'm not too sure about the low protein diet part. Nearly everyone I've spoken too has had some form of hairloss. I'm sure the amount of protein that you consume may affect how much of a hairloss you experience, but overall, the hairloss is part of the rapid weight loss.

I certainly have plenty of hair on my head, so alittle thinning might not be too much of a big deal, but I'm going to keep my protein levels up to make sure I keep the thinning down to a minimum.

I'm heading off to Colorado for Thanksgiving, and then I have 3 weeks here in So-Cal before heading off to Australia. I'll have finals during that time, so maybe after finals week we can do some caffeine free tea

hi Sian....I didn't see this until after I posted my results today. Doc Taller told me that the hair loss is a result of a low protein diet....I'm not sure about that...I think it also has something to do with anesthesia. I am loosing some hair when I comb but can't tell for sure if it is because my hair is long now and is breaking easily or the surgery. How long do you think this will go on for? Speaking of our group......I think that everyone has had surgery including Tasha who moved to Texas (I think?). When do you leave for home????We should have tea before you go......take care friend:)D

Yup, the hair loss process seems to have started for me. Nothing major, but I'm noticing a lot more coming out when I brush my hair and especially when I wa****

It would make sense because I'm hitting the 3 month (12 week mark). Thankfully, I have a very full head of hair, so I'm hoping even with the thinning, it won't show too much.

I still get in anywhere between 60-90g of protein a day, and am anal about my supplements. My multi-vitamins are taken twice a day, I take my iron and calcium citrate once a day, and I make sure to get as much water in as possible. Some days I'm way over my required water intake (those are my workout days), and other days I'm just at or below my required intake. It's still hit and miss for me.

I'm over 75lbs down from my heighest weight. I lost weight during our PC classes, but then gained it all back and then some after class finished. I have 70lbs more to go till I hit my goal of 165. Right now I'm losing on average around 20lbs a month (sometimes a litle more), so I am hoping to be around 200lbs by Christmas or shortly thereafter, and hopefully at goal before next summer.

Have to say, life is pretty damn good right now. I am on my own, and loving it. I realized that I don't need a guy in my life, no matter how cute I might think he is. Turns out that they all end up using your for something, it it's not money or sex, it's for their own ego trip. And I'm done with that.

That's pretty much life for me right now. How are the rest of my lovely PC ladies doing? Is there anyone left who from our group who is still waiting for surgery?

Love you gals.

hi Sara....good to hear from you and so glad that you are doign well. I feel good too, but don't have all of my stamina back...I especially am happy because I am getting into clothes that I never thought I'd ever get into again. I think I've lost about 50 lbs and am about 20 or so from my goal. It seems like the weight is just melting off. Have you noticed how people treat you differently? Have you heard from Veronica? I went to the store in hopes of seeing her  a while back but they said she wasn't back from her leave yet. Hope you ahve a happy thanksgiving...love:)D

Can you believe it was over a year ago that we all met in our special little class!!! We all thought we'd never get to the point of surgery, and now, here we are, with many of us post surgery.

Congrats on your 92lbs. I'm up around 75lbs lost since starting PC. I'm getting closer to  200, and even closer to having lost 100 also.

I feel amazing. I have so much energy, and have started up in many different things such as training for a 5k (to be able to run it), I'm in my second month of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (which I love) and I'll be going to my first Crossfit workout this weekend. I can't believe it....ME, doing Crossfit!!!

So who else is still awaiting surgery?
