I Moved....

So after 9 years of living at the house I owned....I am now a renter....it's weird.

We had the worst time finding a house that would take 3 kids (which because of the ages were considered adults), 3 dogs and 2 cats. Escrow only gave us three weeks to find a place and move out completely. I finally had to lie to get into a place. The new story goes....one cats, two dogs (always outside), and 3 kids but one graduating this year and going off to college....which is a total lie, he is Palomar bound and will still live at home, but lie-ing beat the alternative of having no place to live!

Its been over a month since I have lost any weight. Packing, unpacking, sorting, resorting, paperwork for selling the house, no time off work, and my car got hit (that's a story for another day..lol)....so overwhelmed. Basically stopped working out for lack of time, and started snacking and eating out. The last month was so incredibly rough I can't even begin to put it into words. I know it's just stucco and drywall, but it was still very emotional (and I am not an emotional person).

I'm back on track now, and have 18 pounds til goal.

We are almost completely moved in. Eating better and exercising again..... Feels good. I ran the Carlsbad 5000 last weekend (after not running for a week and a half. It was a little rough, but I was still proud of my time....33.18, that's about a 10.6 min mile.)

Think of you all often. Hope everyone is doing good and having weight loss success! Check in and let me know how you all are doing and what's new.

Love, Becca

Hi Becca
Sorry to hear about all your troubles & am glad things are settling down now.  Wow-- only 18# to go!!!! ! Way to go girl!  Obviously the move was a major stressor but you got through it & didn't pack on a lot of pounds, you are only 18# to go -- remember when you started?  Anyway, moving takes/burns a lot of energy.  I'm sure you were lugging boxes, cleaning, etc. so you were building muscles which may be why you didn't lose weight.  Good luck getting your new home settled.  Take care.

I'm down to #159 this past week.  I'm so happy I broke past the 160's - 169# range I kept yo--yoing
between it seems for months !!!  I seem to continue being weak and just walking around like going out to do outside activities puts me in bed for days & that is usually using an electric wheelchair.  Just dealing with everyday life is exhausting.  I keep being told that I almost died twice and that this is to be expected but meanwhile I'm just getting flabbier & flabbier. I was in & out of the hospital for most of March with falls & hitting my head - they sent me to Scrippp-Mercy and they have the best hospital food I ever tasted  ( & being a nurse, missing your break... you eat food from a hospital tray of patients who have been discharged ) so I know hospital food!  It was a shame when we were there all we got were popsicles!  Hope things are getting settled in your new home & you're getting back to your normal routine.  How many more lbs. do you plan to lose? Is your body getting toned?  I plan on losing 29 more lbs. but I have to still force myself to eat and I wonder if the weight loss will continue beyond that  (I'm hoping  the issue of staying in the 160's was my only "plateau" period), and that my appetite improves.  Take care & let me know how all is going.
