 Hi everyone-

I had my surgery on Nov. 17 and was home by Sunday the 20th.  Everything went fine but I now dealing with a rash on my abdomen.  Also, my stomach is not hungry, but my mouth is.  Everyone came to my house on Thanksgiving and a few things were very tempting for my mouth.  I was able to see DR. Rumsey the day before so at least I could eat yogurt  that day.  It was really fun to have everyone there.

Glad to hear that you finally had your turn Marianne, and that it all went well.
I had a few bites for Thanksgiving, but I still do not have much of an appetite, so it was a small mouthful of turkey, some mashed sweet potatos and a spoonful of stuffing. I struggle to eat daily, so I choose to pull in most of my protein via shakes and unflavored protein powder in chicken soup. My stomach seems to cramp up anytime I try something different, and most of the time results in it coming back up. Seems I have a very sensitive stomach!!
You are going to see that weight melt off now!! =)

hi Marianne....yes, glad to hear that it was your turn. I think that yogurt is really good for you. I just flew home from Minneapolis and that is pretty much what I ate while I was there cept a few bites of the other allowable foods...I'm at 9 weeks so the choices expand. I had an episode with some pie and that wasn't fun so I know now for sure that sugary things are bad. Keep drinking your water and eating those sugar free popsicles...they will help you to have some chewing times and gradually, the desire will go away. My prayers are with you....hugz:)D

YEAH!! You finally had it! I'm so glad you're home and feeling well. I know what you mean by your stomach not being hungry, but your MIND is. You get used to it after a while. I'm starting to feel hunger more when I need to eat and I'm afriad to eat because I don't want it to hurt later. I hate the full feeling, it hurts.

OMG!!!!

I'm so happy for you! I can't wait to see you melt away. FINALLY...I know the wait has been tough for you, but your journey has begun!

Congrats on the start of your new life. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I don't get on here very much anymore. I have been working like crazy. Going to have to move beginning of January (or so the bank says at this point). I am trying to hoard as much money as I can, so we have a savings and deposit when we move. You can always text me...I do really good with text messaging...760.497.0869.

I'm not sure what everyone else feels about their VSG surgery, but I haven't been this self confident and content in years. I have such a normal life. There is really nothing I can't sample or enjoy at this point (and still lose weight...dream come true). I never get sick, I never get the runs, I have regular BM's (TMI), I can gulp water, I have energy, and I am totally loving life.

Only 46 more pounds til goal (75 pounds lost in 4 months!) and I don't feel like I have sacrificed that much to get here.... started at 268, now at 193.

I have only told a (very small) handful of people, and my life is so normal... most people don't notice the difference in my eating that much. Just that I eat super healthy, I exercise and I am losing weight. I can describe them all in one word...JEALOUS!!!!! this is by far the best thing (other than marrying my husband and giving birth to my three kids) that I have ever done!

I am so excited for you! I you ever need anything, I am here for you!

It will get better and better everyday. This surgery is truly a gift...  (I love that icon, just wanted to use it..lol)
