Janet update
hi girls.......Janet and I must have something for each other.....we ran into each other at the lab at vandevere today!!!She said her putor is OFF again so I'm sending this out for her. She is driving and is feelign pretty good. Doc Zorn told her the other day that HE DID have orders for her meds......and doesn't know why they didn't get to her....interesting...you would think that the nurses would have noticed a patient that needed some help. She said that she is at 204 and is real happy about that. She is having blood in her urine and thinks it is from the stints (sp?) that come out on Friday. She has blood work done every 3 days so you can find her at the lab...hahaha!!!! She looked good and her voice is good....she thanks everyone for their prayers. The grandbaby isn't here yet. Hugz to all:)D
I have very mixed feelings about the staff at Mercy. My first 2 were great and the last 2 could have cared less about me. I has to call and call to get someone to come and move my oxygen so I move or walk and after the first full day the cleanliness of my room went way down! I also had some trouble in the recovery room that I won't go into but I won't soon forget. All in all not a positive experience. Deb
hi Deb....good to hear from you......how are you doing now???Sleeping a bit better???? I totally understand what you are saying about the staff there. You will get a survey in the mail in a week or two and you can say anything that you want to on that survey. I got wonderful nurses and often had the same one for 2 days but I saw what Janet got and it was AWFUL. One of Janet's nurses would come into the room and turn on the overhead light at all hours of the night and then used a really LOUD voice, again, all hours of the night. I finally told her that neither of us were HARD OF HEARING!!! But, I had to say it twice to her. She lowered her voice a bit after that but always gave me the weirdest look when she would walk past my bed to go to Janet's. I was shocked at how insensitive she was. When Janet was at Zion this month, I went to see her a few times and OMG, was the hospital clean and quiet and she told me how nice and sweet the staff were......MAJOR DIFFERENCE. The way I look at it now is.....I'm glad it was only 3 days out of my life and is behind me. Know what I mean???:)D
I'm so happy to hear that Janet is doing well. It is a shame that she had such an issue with the nurses. I think I was very lucky (other than having to share a room) in that my nurses were wonderful.
Please keep us posted on any further news from her. =)

I just noticed that I don't have Deb on my friends listing either. I've just always seen her posts and responded to them.
