OH'ers were right!

So I hit a stall, which broke slightly after 5 days, then...another stall.

Most OH'ers recommended putting away the scale, and busting out the measuring tape. But I am infatuated with the scale these days...yes, "My name is Rebecca and I am a scale junkie." I just want it to move! Move dam it move!

I should have listened closer to the OH veterans. Measuring works, it's the only way to notice that you're shrinking. I measured last week and again today. HOLY COW! I have dropped a total of 7 inches in a week (measuring waist, hips and under boobs).

I have been exercising, so I thought maybe that was screwing with my scale weight. Now I know it is. I'm toning... and shrinking.

MORAL OF THE STORY: The OH veterans know what they are talking about. I should open my ears and listen more.

TTYS,
Becca

I had gained since our last Kaiser class and all my clothes were REALLY tight on me...now they are all baggie! Haven't been shopping yet, so I don't really know what size I wear.

I wish I would have taken measurements before surgery too. Oh well...

Did you get a date yet? It seems like you did, but I can't remember. If yes, I need to put it in my phone calendar (aka: my mobile brain)!

Hi Becca!

I had a stall after my first week!  In the first week I lost 20lbs, but then I gained back 4.  I think I was dehydrated, so now that I've gotten more liquids in, I gained tha****er weight back that I lost.  In this past week though I haven't lost anymore weight.  Everyone says I look thinner each day though, so I think I need to break out the measuring tape too  :)

I have vowed not to jump onto the scale until my one week post-op to see what I have lost. But I put on one of my new Lane Bryant bras yesterday and at the smallest sizing, it was too big. I was very happy. Also my tups feel ways loose now. Many peaple say they can see weigh loss in my face, but I wonder if it is just knowledge of my surgery that helps them see that.

Im aching to get to the gym, bur I know I need to heal up first.

They told me no swimming for the first month, but I read somewhere that it was ok after the incisions have scabbed over.

Six weeks off and triple digit temperature....I'd do it. Relax and swim, enjoy your time off.

BTW..I love the new profile pix. You have a great smile (and i like the tats). The Pink Sara pix, was sexy sexy.

I'm know you have lost inches. A loose bra is a happy bra...it gets to go into early retirement!

I kinda agree with you...if people know you've had surgery they are more apt to say something about your weight.

All the people that knew I had surgery...all 6 of them, commented that I have lost weight and they can tell. Out of all the others I didn't tell about surgery, I have only had one person comment on my weight.

I asked my husband how come nobody is noticing...he said (which makes sense) that weight is a touchy subject for people. Unless it is really obvious people don't want to ask. Asking may insinuate that you need to lose weight. And he said, since I work with almost all men, FOR SURE they are not going to ask unless it's totally obvious that I have lost.

Let's go for a walk soon

Im aching to get out to the mall tonight and walk (to both get out and also exercise). I've been stuck at home all day while the ex was working and he's got plans for tonight. I'm tempted to try and drive, but Im trying to hold off until tomorrow when I have to go to class for a few hours.
I'll have class Wed and Thurs early evenings, but pretty much any other day I'm free to walking.
