Home and feeling good

I got checked out early Monday morning. I was in a little discomfort Monday and jus****ched TV and rested.

I feel much better today. Aunt Flo was apparently awaken by surgery and decided to come visit early... what a ***** Everything else is good. I have been doing light housekeeping cuz everything was a train wreck when I got home. I did drive today. Not far, just down the street. I drive an automatic with power steering so It's effortless.

I can't seem to get in everything they want from me to. Water 30-60cc every hour, one protein shake per day, and maybe some broth or Popsicles. After about 25cc's I get very bad pains like heart burn and have painful burping episodes. I still measure everything I consume, but if enough time hasn't passed between dosage cups, I hurt. I just can't get it all in. Hopefully soon I will figure out what the right amount of time between doses is.

Food is unappealing and I have to remind myself to drink. The hunger is gone. My taste buds are a little more sensitive. Things that just tasted ok before, make me sick now (ie. certain protein shakes, the lortab, unchilled water.)

I'm still bloated. They say you should fart alot and the extra air in there will come out, but not yet. I'm going to go for a walk tonight maybe that will help.

I go see Dr. Tanaka Friday. I'll post an update.

Thanks for all the luv and support...you all are great friends

OMG  I forgot about our walk! **** sorry girl! I had my SDSU orientation today and they had made a mess of my transfer papers and have spent the night filling out paperwork so I can declare my major!

I'm so sorry! I will definitely call you tomorrow and we will walk. Absolutely 100%!!!!!

Glad you are home and feeling better. Can't wait to see you melt away! =)

Hi Deb,

How are ya? Are you starting to get excited...you've done everything now except get a surgery date, but that's just around the corner.

VSG has been awesome to me so far. I had trouble the first week getting everything in. All liquids were hard to get down because of feeling so full and no hunger.

This week I am able to get more liquids in. Last week it took a whole day to get down 1/4 of a premier protein shake, and today it took me only 2 hours to get the whole thing down. Although I'm not really hungry, it is going to be hard to do only liquids again for another 6 days. I'm officially sick of jello.

Let me know when you get your date, and congrats on getting Dr. Taller. They say he is the sleeve specialist.
