My Unjury Protein and Opurity Vitamins were delivered today
So I received my first batch of supplies in the mail today.
I have a sweet tooth, but I think too many dessert flavored protein drinks would get old quick.
I ordered Unjury chicken soup (has no animal products) to mix with veggie broth, and the Unjury unflavored to mix with crystal light, broth, apple sauce, jello, etc after surgery.
I tried the unflavored as soon as I got it...cuz I was excited. I mixed it with cherry-pomegranate crystal light. It was amazing! No weird taste at all. I mixed it over ice (which wasn't the smartest way to do it) so I had to shake the crap out of it, to make sure it all mixed to a liquid and was consistent.
I haven't tried the soup yet. But I will update tomorrow.
Unjury is pretty pricey for my budget. I only plan to use it for the first couple months after surgery. I am super paranoid about the required protein intake. I don't have a whole lot of hair to start with and can't afford major hair loss.
I ordered the vitamins from the same site. The once a day chewable bariatric multi vitamins with iron are delish (if you like sour things)! The calcium citrate are good, but WAY TO BIG. They suggest four a day of the calcium. Even though they are chewable, it's way to much for me now. I am going to keep looking for a good calcium supplement.
I'll probably continue using their multi vitamins, because they are high in the RDA for what we need...and they taste good...oh and they aren't that expensive (and that's a biggest factor).
Let me know how you rate the products you've tried. Some of this stuff is way too expensive to buy and then not like.
8 days and counting..... Becca

Hi!!!
How was the reunion? Is it nice to be home or was the vacation too short?
Congrats on the Dr. appointment....it's a giant step closer to your surgery date!
I think my appointments were each a couple hours apart. The doctor's office took forever..and he was late getting to me, so my appointment lasted like 10 with him. I walked to the internist, but had to hustle cuz I thought I would be late...they were running behind too. I walked back to my car and drove to the psych lady. It was at her home. A really nice townhouse. It was peaceful and so tropical... I just sat on her porch and read until she opened the door.
I'm getting more nervous. Although, I have the day before surgery off work, so I can get my house cleaned. Then I have the week off after. I'm looking forward to that almost as much as the surgery
Take care!

hi Becca....I love South Dakota and have some of the funniest cousins ever!!!So, it was great. I love to travel and am ok with sleeping just about anywhere and living out of a suitcase.....not forever, but adventures are lots of phun. I saw a lot of buffalo and walked quite a bit on the trails.
I had a feeling that the dr appts are designed the way that they are so that they CAN run late...oh my, part of the hoops that we have to go through. I know how you feel about the nervousness, I have it even now but am still quite certain that this method is the only way that I can try and conquer my eating problems.
I looked at the piano, do you want me to come out and play it and tell you more about what I think? I do this often for friends.....did you know that playing piano/organ is what I do for a living?
I am retiring next June so have been getting my house ready to sell.....I'm thinking about listing a lot of things on Craigslist...plants, small antiques, patio furniture. How has it gone for you? Have you sold your things yet?
My grandkids are coming over for 2 days at noon...they are 1 and 4. My son calls them puppies and says they are a full-time job...oh my. Well, they are adorable and are worth it.....hugz:)D

Glad you had a great vacation... After you retire you will have more time to travel!
I would love if you could come tell me what my pianos worth, but I live kinda far from you (I'm in Escondido).
It is truly the one thing from my childhood that I have taken care of...everything else had been stored in sheds or garages and moved so many times, they've broken. It's not something that I have to sell ASAP, so I'm ignoring the Craig's listers that try and low ball for things.
I did sell my boat! That got tons of responses! I did list that really low, because I HAD TO sell it. I needed money bad.
I think they changed the way Craig's list works. The day after you post something, it's already 5 pages back! I had sold bunches of things last January and had tons of interest in all the odds and ends I posted. I had at least 2-3 emails for each item from people interested. This time around I got 2 on the piano (one was a scam...send them all my info and they will send me a check...the funniest part was, they said I could only communicate with them by email because they were deaf and had to use a special phone. So why buy a musical instrument?) The boat only got calls and emails on the day it was posted. Then nothing for three days. So, I cheated and posted it again with a different description ( I had to change the description, because Craig's list won't let you add the same item multiple time...so I had to trick it. ) and as soon as I reposted, the phone started ringing. If you have time on your hands, and patience you can make good money on Craig's List.
Have fun with the pups. Before you know it they are big dogs :)
Becca
P.S. If you refer anyone and they buy the piano, I'll give you $50 bucks!!!

hi Becca......sorry I didn't write...those grandkids(puppies) were a lot of work. They left this afternoon so I got a nap and then some practising in at my church organ. Now, I'm starting to clean up after them...but...they are so adorable and very much worth it!!!! I am retiring to a small farm and am not sure how that will go. I'm building a small house on my kids' property so we will share the farm duties. I am not sure if I need anymore trips to Europe, but I'd love to go to Japan. I know that you live in Escondido...my t-bird would LOVE the chance for a drive.....want to wait until you get home from surgery or????
Thanks for the info on the Craigs list stuff.....I have seen so many of the same posts over and over so I guess that is how they are trying to do the weeding. I'm gonna try it though. You were smart to not get involved with that one person....sounds like a scammer for sure. 6 Days???????Are you getting everything ready?:)D

Hey Becca, I'll put the samples of my protein powder in my letter box for you. It's up by the front door! Can't wait to try the unjury.

I ordered a tub of chicken soup and unflavored Unjury today. Stuff wasn't too bad. I still got my vitamins from Celebrate Vitamins. I liked the options they had for flavors and also their prices.
