The Hospital's pre-op list

Thought ya'll might be interested in this too....It comes in the packet after you get your date.

You call after getting the packet to get your surgery time and pre-surgical appointment

Surgery: Aug 5th 3:00pm
Pre-appointment: Aug. 4th 9:00am

                                                                                                      

Hmm, I didn't get anything like that after I got my date call, and that was over a month ago. I might have to give them a call and see if it's something they forgot.

I did get a CD for the computer with all their information about pre and post op, but nothing like this.

I got the CD at the Doctor visit, but this waspart of a packet mailed after they called to give me my surgery date. She said it would be coming in 1-2 weeks from her phone call. It has all kinds of forms to fill out and a check list of stuff to bring to the pre-op appointment.

FYI...I got an early pre-op hospital appointment so I can take the milk of magnesia after. Otherwise, you have to crap constantly, and I don't like crapping in public restrooms

Oh, I hear ya there! I had a colonoscopy a few years back and the prep day was awful. My ass literally was on fire. I wanted to purch myself over the side of the tub and dip my butt in a tub full of cold water! It was horrible, so if that is anything to go by, I'll be doing the same as you.

Im definitely going to call through on Monday and find out about my packet, as I was given a surgery date a month ago today, so you'd think I'd have it by now.

Ok, I called PB and the lady advised me that they usually sent the packet around 3-4 weeks prior to surgery. So since my surger date is later than yours, I'll probably see my pre-op packet arrive in a couple of weeks. But I'm still following what yours says and also the diet that Dr. Tanaka gave you.

I am so sorry about the other day...I should have gotten your ph. # too. I ended up going to Irvine that night (and staying overnight) for my daughters soccer tournament. They can in first YAY!

I told my teenage boys to make sure they answered the phone when you called to tell you what was up, but apparently they "missed" your call. I think they just didn't care cuz they are teenagers and they only care about things that benefit them... that's just what i think really happened.

So sorry to flake, I'm really not a flake.

The iphone is starting to recover. It blinked the apple icon on and off for a few days. Then if it was plugged in it would (kinda) work when it wanted to. And today it is actually holding a charge! It's tripping a little bit, but at least I have all my contacts and calendar!

I will call ya this week and maybe we can walk

I did get your message. You son answered when I called just after 7pm (I did call earlier and left a messge only because we didn't end up going out for dinner afterall), and he told me that you ended up staying out of town, so it's all good.

Glad to hear the girls did well!
