Well I am having my blood work done at 7:30 in the morning tomorrow then its the wait for Kaiser to review and send to PBG, How long did that take you guys?? Roogirl!! Very exciting that you know your date! Has anyone else had their date set? I was upset about being late due to a missed class but it actually was a good thing since my doctor sent me for an electocardiogram, when they look at the heart with a sort of ultrsound stick, and they found enough to send me to a pulimonery doctor. Turns out I am or was horribly under oxygenated and needed oxygen immediately, and not just at night. Man they had the oxygen equipment there the next day as well as the CPAP machine I should have had last Oct but didn't want. I have tosay I felt 1000% better the very next day and adjusted to CPAP immediately. I use whats called the nose pillows. Within 10 days  my resting oxygen were back to normal and I just need it at night with the CPAC machine and if I exercise.

So I am telling you all this because I had no idea that I was damaging my heart and didn't feel it. Also I would have gone to the PSG and I am sure I wouldn't be allowed to have the surgery without fixing it. Go get that machine!! Deb

I'm so happy that they found that problem before surgery Deb, and to fix it. Everything happens for a reason, and I still belive in that motto!

It took about 10 days from having my lab work done to receiving my referral to Pacific Bariatric. I got a letter in the mail from Kaiser saying that I had been referred. Then it was probably another 3-4 days before PB called me to schedule my appointment, which was about a week later. So in total, you're probably looking at 20 or so days from having labs done to having an appointment at PB.

I'm just counting down the days to my surgery date, and keeping my fingers crossed that a cancellation may come up sooner. I'm very worred about having surgery only 4 days prior to starting my first semester at SDSU.
