SURGERY DATE!! 
Holy crap, it's really happening. PB called me this morning and gave me a date of Thursday August 25th. The only downer is that my first semester at SDSU starts August 29th, which is what I wanted to try and avoid, but oh well, it is, what it is!
I did ask the staff to place me on the cancellation list, and they said they would. So I keep my fingers crossed that I might get a call anytime between now and August 25th.

I also got the date of 8/25 and was really shocked I got news so quickly. It is a bummer though because my first day back at school is 8/25. I don't think I can do it then because my co teacher will be out on maternity leave at that time. I did ask to be on the cancellation list and am trying not to worry until later. I guess the main thing is to lose the weight so I am prepared at any point. Congrats on your surgery date!

Oh no! I completely understand how you feel. I was keeping my fingers and toes crossed that it wouldn't have been so close to the new school semester, but we were not so lucky.
I hope we can both go through on the cancellation list, and not have to stress about it.
