San Diego Rep at Lyceum...1 woman Play
hi Ladies...well, I'm missing all of you already! I saw an announcement from the Lyceum about an awesome sounding 1 woman play titled LET ME DOWN EASY. It is playing from April 27 to about May 18....anyone interested in going? The ad piece sounds like a very amazing play.....let me know, it would be fun to go with another gal or two or three or THIRTEEN!!!...hugz:)Deanna
I would love to go do something sometime. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE plays and musicals!!!!!! I go to the Moonlight Ampithatre in Vista and watch the plays during the summer. We get a group, bring in our own wine and food, get grass seats cuz they are cheap (plus, the theatre provides lawn chairs). The shows there are so impressive. Let's go for sure.
Right now is my super busy time. My daughter plays softball, competative soccer, spring soccer, and is training for her school track meet. My middle son, is training for the track meet, plays baseball and umpires. My oldest, plays volleyball, arena soccer and he umpires and referees. I am up to 9 clients now (HOORAY $$$$) and I am team mom for my son's baseball team (AKA: slack picker upper for our 27 year old pain in the ass coach), and financial manager for my daughters traveling soccer team. Oh, I forgot the gardener and the housekeeper too (the kids help some, but it's more work getting them to do it than it is to just put them on restriction for not doing their chores!) WAAAAAAAAAAA....poor me. LOL
By the end of June, my life is calm and relaxing...stress free. I'll be more than ready to do something fun

Hi Deanna,
So, I just got the booklet in the mail for the Moonlight . They have some great ones this season!
I'm going to....
Forever Plaid on June 15th
Annie on July 20th
Hairspray on August 17th
I don't think I'll make it to the Marvelous Wonderettes because my kids will be back in school and I will have my crazy life back. Let me know if you are interested in going. These dates are opening night for each show. My kids and I get a wave water park pass every year and you get extra benefit with the card. One benefit is a lawn seat on opening night only (for each show) for $5.00 instead of $27.00. Even at $27 a ticket it's money well spent. The shows are always top notch!

I love going to the theatre. It was something that I did with my mum when I was a little girl (even into my teen years). I studied music throughout my school years and always had a good appreciation for musicals.
I've not heard about the one woman show Deanna, I'm not sure if it would be something I'd like, but I can say that I'd LOVE the musical shows like Hairspray, Annie, etc. Never head of Forever Plaid or The Marvelous Wonderettes.
Another show I'm dying to see, and that will be here in San Diego next July (2012) is Wicked. I've wanted to go to NYC back when Idina Mensel and Kristin Chenowweth were Elphaba and Glinda, but simply couldn't afford it. I'm excited that the show is coming here, but also a bit bummed out that it's not the cast I'd really love to see. My ship has sailed on that chance!
But I'd love to get together and hit up the theatres. Lawn seats sound good to me too!

hi Becca.....I love all 3 of those shows. I'll be in HA for Forever Plaid. Sian, this is a really cool show...you should go!!!I even got to be the one called up from the audience once to play the piano and the cast had to actually LIFT my hands off of the keys cause I was wailing. I would LOVE to see Wicked.....I've performed several of the pieces with students through out the years so it's probably time to see the show. I would be happy with lawn seating if I can make it to one of the Moonlight shows. I've never been to the theatre up there so I'll look at my calendar.....take care friends....:)Deanna
