First of all thanks for getting us a guest speaker, I look forward to learning all I can.
Either month is good for me.
Maybe she could bring a shopping list for what we should have on hand immediately following surgery.

Topic: Upcoming Dietician Presentation
I have made contact with a local dietician from the new Kingston - Regional Assessment Centre to come to either our June or July meeting and give a presentation.

Topic - Post surgery nutrition and supplements

Dietician is wondering if we have any specific questions we would like addressed?  So if you have any please advise so that we make the best use of her time.

Also let me know if you would prefer the presentation at the June or July meeting?  Majority rules and I will need to let her know within the next week or so if we want her to attend the June meeting.

I see that you figured out how to post to the group site!  Way to go, Liz.

As the saying goes, laughter is the best medicine! I wish you all the best on the 25th. Please keep in touch and let us know how everything goes and just shout if you need anything.

All the best,  Muriel

Topic: RE: smart phone food tracker
I have actually gone back to myfitnesspal.com as it tracks calories, carbs, fat and protien  as well and has an amazingly large food database.  I also like it because if you have a camera phone you can scan in the scew of any item and it will give you the individual serving details  and all you have to do is mark how many servings you had and add to that days' menu.
I can't track the protien on my phone but it does track it on the web site so that works for me

I use a Calorie Counter by Fat Secret on my cell phone.  It's a free app  or you can find it at  www.fatsecret.com  I love it!

It allows my to choose up to 4 nutritional items that I want to focus on  of course mine are Calories, Protein, Carbs, and Fat.

There is a  weekly reminder  to weigh in.

I can search my foods by my local  Grocery store, popular Brands or Restaurant and I can Sync everything to  my PC
