Topic: June Meeting
At the June meeting we are going to have a presentation by the Registered Dietician from the new Kingston Regional Assessment Centre.

I have suggested that she provide us with the basics for pre-ops and advice and tips for post-ops.

It was also suggested that we could do a protein taste test.  If you have a bullet, bring it along. If you have some protein powders or liquids that you would be willing to share, bring them too.

Hope to see everyone there!

I believe that they freeze really well. I haven't had them last long enough to have to freeze them.

The last time I made these brownies I substituted no sugar added applesauce for the oil and it worked great.  I find that they taste better on day 2.

What I like most about the whip cream dessert is that you can layer it in a glass bowl, like a triffle, and make it look really pretty as well as use different options like the peanut butter pieces, sugar-free syrup or fruit. It becomes a completely different dessert.

I making this for an upcoming potluck and I'm not telling anyone that they are black bean brownies.

Oh yeah what is B powder?

Well, the brownies are pretty good..I wish they were just a little moister.  Next time I  am going to add 2 extra Tbls of oil and I love the coffee in it but I think 2 Tbls was just a little more than I like so maybe 1 1/2 next time.  I also added 1 tsp B Powder.

We had a brownie with a dollop of whip cream and some strawberries.  made a very nice dessert

Definitely a keeper that's for sure, I love that it was so easy to make!

10 more mins before I can pull these out of the oven!!! I am so excited, if the cooked product tastes anything like the batter I will be very happy. They smell SO good!

Not going to tell my family there are beans in it till they are raving at how good they are LOL

I might do the whip cream thing Muriel did at out last meeting as a second desert, I don't know if it has a name or not but I am going to call mine, Brownie Heaven.

Thanks Muriel

Here is an update on my revision process

May 24, I have a one on one appointment with a Dietitian in my Doctors health center.
I am also waiting to see a physiologist in June  at the same center.

Really ticks me off that these services are a part of the Health Clinic at my Doctors office and my Dr knows I have been asking and looking for help for the last 2 years and he never mentioned anything about these to me...  When I go for my next B12 shot, I'm going to ask him why he never offered me these services when he has know for years how I have been struggling.

June 4, back to Kingston  Bariatric RATC to see RD, Melody and SW, Don.
June 19, appointment for my Abdominal Ultra sound
Waiting for an appointment  for a Gastroscopy
Waiting for a Sleep Study appointment

NP spoke to Dr Hong and once all tests are done he will take a look at everything and then decide if he will do the revision or not.  He only does 3-4 revisions per year.

If Dr Hong refuses then my paper work can be sent to Quebec to Dr Gagner, the paper work can take forever because it is out of province.

Either way, I think I am in for a very long wait for my revision, but in the mean time I will continue to do what I can to prepare myself and continue working to getting these pounds off.
