Kansas City Bariatric Surgery Support Group

BLOG

Let's get this started right

We are already in gear to become one of the premium sources in Kansas City for Bariatric support and we only have a little over 10 members. I jut did a quick Google search for Kansas City Bariatric support and guess who's group contains 4 out of the first 10 links on the front page? THIS ONE! I am so excited!

We started meeting a few weeks ago at Second Presbyterian Church at 55th and Brookside. So far it has been really great. In the past I have always been part of support groups, but I never had to build one from the ground up. It is an exciting thing to know that what we are doing now is going to pave the way for a much richer experience in the future.

So please join us at a meeting and see what support is really all about. Our support group is a little different then the others in Kansas City. We are more of a community oriented group focusing on experiences and sharing our problems, big and small, to find a common bond that will bring us together and help with the trials that come with bariatric surgery. We are not affiliated with a hospital so we will not be doling out medical advice, but each meeting everyone gets a chance to speak and tell us about what they are going through that week.

That's what it's all about really. Talking to people who are going through what you are and finding support to help you cope with a major change that has happened in your life. So I invite you again to come and join us for a meeting and find support with the help of other people.

We are all over the place so here are some links to help you get started connecting with us:

Our Facebook Group - This is a great place to get support when we are not in a meeting.

Our Meetup Group - This is a great place to find out about the different events and meetings in the KC area. If you have any that you would like me to add then feel free and send me a message. or post to our facebook or meetup groups.

Thanks,

Chris Belsole
