My surgery isn't til July 7th, I only have to do a 5 day liquid diet starting July 2nd. I find myself eating like everyday is my last, like I'm trying to get in all my favorite buffets because I know I will not be able to go there anymore. Anyone feeling this way too?

They call these food funerals. I started this process in June/July of last year. Had my food funeral mid July to mid August. Then I went on  a cruise in mid August. Prior to the cruise I realized that the sleeve was never going to prevent me from enjoying food again, just the amount of it. I stopped my food funeral before my cruise and started changing my diet, even while on the cruise. I haven't stopped despite the fact that my surgery was only approved last week.

To date I've lost 47 pounds on my own. I need another 51 to reach my goal. It's a head game because thankfully, once you get where you want to with the sleeve, you can reintroduce some of your favorites back in and not feel the need to overdo but enjoy. I never lost faith that I'd get sleeved, one of the best tools for weight loss out there! Good luck Max!

Yup mine was an outback food funeral and I ate it all up. and felt slightly Ill afterwards. I have to do a 2 week preop diet so I will suffer through that.

I know what you mean. I have been felling the same way. I know I shouldn't feel that way and I know it is self defeating but I am having a hard time with it. I am just trying to get into the frame of mind that food won't be so important to me after the surgery. I am hoping that I don't feel hungry afterwards. I've heard a lot of people say that they have no hunger what so ever. I hope that's me.
