I am scheduled for July 7th. I'm starting to gather things together that I will need after surgery. I went to Target and got a strainer, 2 appetizer plates, 2 dip bowls, I already had gotten a ****tail fork and spoon at bed bath and beyond. I have a shot glass and ordered some of the protein drink I likes from chike nutrition. I have an ice crusher. Have lots of sugar free drinks like crystal lite, kool aide, wylers and so on. I like to mix them for something different. Anyone think of anything else I need let me know!
Thanks Denise

I bought pretty much the same things today only went to world market to get the silverware. I got potein bullets that was recommended by another loser from walmart. I also got a couple of water bottles that I like to pack in my carryon luggage as I am having surgery in Mexico. It is this peppermint and spearmint flavored water called metro water. I can only find it at one store and it has 0 calories and mixes it up a bit. I normally use fresh mint from my garden but will I have the time, nope!!! Take care hope all goes well.

ohh, good thread!  Scheduled for July 15th..

I have my magic bullet for pureeing food.   I got a lot of little OZ measuring cups to measure my fluid intake and a kitchen timer to remind me to drink, drink while at work.  I also bought a lot of balloons...I read that you can really strengthen your lungs two weeks before surgery by blowing up 30 balloons a day..I figured hey, what the heck!

I have a lot more stuff, too.  I will post more tomorrow, late getting to bed.  I go to work early.

Nighty julyers!

Wow, it sounds like you guys are all prepared!!  I have my Magic Bullet, which I LOVE, and I guess there are lots of small utensils, plates & bowls around since I have a 3 year old (well, he will be 3 in July).  I didn't get any of the protein shots yet but I guess I better check them out.  Are they supposed to be different/better than the protein powder that you make shakes with?  My protein powder has 30g protein/scoop & is really low in sugar/carbs/fat so you don't need much  :)  Glad you started this group!  My surgery should be mid to end July - just waiting for a date!

I get to shop this weekend for all my goodies. Kinda broke right now  but i am making a list. I was also told by my program to buy a good food scale. I have been meaning to get one of those. Where did you all get your magic bullets? They seem pricey. I have a regular food processor, a little one, a blender and a wand blender. Got ****tail forks and shot glasses already. My hubby drinks the protein shots too so I guess I will be giving those a whirl tool. July can't get here soon enough!

I got mine at Costco (around $50) but I think you can get them at Walmart as well.  It is AWESOME for making smoothies (especially in small quantities!) and you can drink right out of the blender cups and then chuck everything right into the dishwasher - very convenient!

Hi Guys

I have my surgery 29th of July. One thing I got the other day is a scrapbook to record everything.
I thought it will be great to look back at, once I lose the weight.  Also it will keep me motivated to keep the weight off.

Great idea Denise, wish I was a wee bit craftier    I am however, considering doing a video blog for myself.  Ugh, I do dislike looking at myself on video (as if pictures weren't bad enough), sheesh!

I am so excited to "meet" all of you. My surgery is July 16 with Dr. Verboonen in Cancun. I have yet to get my supplies but am gathering all sorts of information from all of you. One of the drawbacks of having the surgery in Mexico is not alot of support from a physician nearby so this site has truly been a blessing. Thank you and you will all be in my daily thoughts and prayers!
