Coffee Group?

Hi,
I'm looking to get together for coffee with a few people who have had the RNY surgery but I can't seem to find any groups for MPLS or South MPLS.  I have heard of a whole bunch in North Mpls.
Is anyone interested or does anyone know of any coffee groups I can join?
I had my surgery 10/23/08 and have been looking ever since.

Have you looked on OH mn board post there and a lot of groups will respond. I know of one group in Maple grove thats RNY and Lap band and one at north town thats Rny both on sat am. good luck My self I had the lap band and go to a coffee group that meets on sunday nights. I good luck

I have been looking for the same thing in the South Metro.  I had RNY at Abbott on 12/18/08.  I live in Shakopee.  I would love to be in a group but am not thrilled about driving downtown to the hsp, more so because the crosstown is a nightmare.

I'd be willing to meet you half way.  I live in S Minneapolis close to the VA center but am willing to meet you some where.  I had my RNY on 10/23/08 and could sure use some coffee support!

Hi I live south of the river.  Burnsville to be exact.

I had my surgery in 05'  RNY I don't know of any support group out here?  If you hear of one let me know!!

Check out my message below, we have a wonderful support group that's right in your area that would work perfect for you!! 

There is a support group that meets in the south metro every Saturday, and it rotates between Burnsville (in the Panera at Burnsville Center, on the north side of the mall) & Eagan.  This Saturday we'll be meeting in Eagan (in the Byerly's, on Yankee Doodle Road, at the Caribou Coffee) from 8:30am-10:30am or so.  Anyone is welcome to join us.  The group that meets ranges in size from around 15-20 people in any given week (with mostly RNY WLS people, but also some LAP people that come & DS people as well as spouses, kids, anyone is welcome).

We're a welcome & outgoing group of people & would love to have more people join our group!  If you're looking for support this is a great group to join!  If you'd like more info you can respond to this message, send me a private message here on OH, or look me up on Facebook ([email protected]).  We also post weekly information about where & when we meet on the Minnesota Forum, here on OH, as well.
