How are you doing on your liquid diet? We have the same surgey date :) I also started my full liquid diet.

I love love love the nuvaring. I used it for a short time prior to my husband and I getting married. Its totally flexible and neither of us ever felt it. Another huge perk of the ring is that you can take it out and would potentially be fertile right away the first month. It also is a very low dose of hormone - so none of the nasty side effects other types of contrception often have. It reduced the amount of bleeding and regulated everything. All of my OBGYN's have been huge fans of it since I was first introduced to it 10 years ago. So that has to be a plus!

Congrats! You're doing so well. Just keep up the good work. YOu're going to start seeing such amazing results. I can't wait to hear all about them. Just take care of yourself and take it easy. Moving is excellent and the fact that your pain level is so low is wonderful.

Hello all you fall beauties! I am scheduled for a band on 11/9. My current weight is 281, I have no idea what my highest weight was. I am only 5'3" so my goal weight is 135.
My date got pushed back several times (insurance, Dr on vacation, etc) and now that I want it pushed back, they won't. My daughter is getting married 11/11. I have 2 days to get over myself and be the mother of the bride! Wish me luck. I told her I would crawl into the chapel with my butt hanging out of my hospital gown if I had to.
I actually started the pre-op diet for one week so I know what it is like and I did ok. Cheated a little but now that I know what to expect, I think I'll be good. I start the pre-op on Saturday.
Anyone else indulged or indulging in favorite things like someone on death row? I think of some food I enjoy (doesn't even have to be a bad food) and I want to have it 'one last time'. Driving me nuts!

I Donated 10 large black trash bags to Goodwill yesterday-plus a huge stack of hanging clothes! I practically have nothing left, LOL-oh well, I'll take weight loss over having a bunch of fat clothes!
Can't wait to go home for Christmas and raid my sisters clothes-she has a bunch of stuff saved up for me :)

Update-So, I still am having continued spotting/light bleeding with the implanon-I called my GYN and they told me usually homones level out around 3 months and the bleeding stops. That is not until December 1st! I guess I'll just deal with it for now and if things haven't changed by December, I'll have it removed...
Apple- If I end up getting my Implanon removed, I will consider the Nuva-Ring..just worried I might not get it in correctly-kwim?

Congrats on your success thus far Adrienne! FYI- I was 15 pounds heavier the day after my surgery than the day of--I was freaking out!

I think the letter writing and journal are great ideas-we have a lot to sort out in our minds after WLS, it such a life changing event!
