Isn't it a great feeling not having to take diabetes and cholesterol meds anymore? I loved that! I still do a finger stick every once in a while to make aure my blood sugar is okay though-and it has been fine :-)
Keep measuring, exercising, sipping and getting adequate rest!

I just wanted to give you all an update.
As many of you might know I went to California to have my Gastric Sleeve. I went in at 249.50 on 10/24/11 .
I had surgery 10/25/11, I had to stay in for 2 days, instead of 1. My Dr. rocked the nurses had me walking at 11pm that night, well I mean I wanted to walk. This is no piece of cake surgery. I know I want to Thank all of you for your support and prayers. I know I didn't have an Angel, but I had my Dad and Step Mom with me.
I am pretty much off all Medicine expect 3. I am no longer on my Diabetes, High Cholesterol. I am so much happier and feel so much healthier.
My close are getting smaller and soon, I have to go shopping again. I have been working out since Monday, I might take a break today. My muscles need a break.
I am eating my protien and measuring things out. I am just eating 1 oz at a time.

I had Lap RNY on 9/21/2011...
I am doing well, went back to the gym at 2 1/2 weeks post op but was walking from day one. The hardest thing for me is still getting in all my protein and water. I had a few problems with some denser foods but I am chewing even longer and eating less and that has helped.

Thank you so much! Heading to the hospital in about 20 minutes. Surgery should be around noon.
