All Right ladies and gents. I quit weighing myself everyday. The past week I have not lost. Why? I am hardly able to get what I am supposed to in-if I am even doing that, so why am I not losing now? It is only one month post op.
Am I alone?
Thanks for any replies-I am stymied.....

Hi Leslie, I am feeling just like you. I had RNY 10/28. I am down 26 pounds but have not lost a pound since Saturday to make things feel a little bit worse I have been having problems with food.. cold water makes my pouch, "Beulla" complain, warm tea makes her complain, any food makes her complain! Grrr, I was doing really well and now, I feel like all progress has stopped. I'm not sure what I am going to do now.. don't want to call the doc this close to Turkey day and have something occur that would mess the day and plans up for my family of eaters lol. I guess I will just keep doing what I am supposed to do and hope for the best. Let me know how things are going for you

Thanks, Kelly.
I am sorry you are having a "down time", too. Think your name for your pouch is too funny! I love it! I just got through being sick-I am not sure if the reason I can't eat sometimes is because I am constipated-I never had that problem before so I don't know what it feels like....but have been told it could be my problem.
It is awful that you can't even eat and you still don't lose. That's the ultimate bummer.

yep.. I am in a mini standstill too...

but I am pretty sure I need to up my protein.. still struggling with food vs liquid thing..

my pretty little grouchy ass pouch..           has been a tad sensitive lately....one day.. food good... one day.. food the enemy..

I think I might have experienced my first mini dump last night... was not a pretty feeling...lol

I lost 23 lbs my first 2 weeks, and the scale was exactly the same since last tuesday, so a whole week and nothing.  They say it's normal, but that our body needs to adjust, but that in a little while the weight will drop off again.  Our bodies are probably going through starvation mode, trying to hold on to everything because we're eating so little.
That whole food vs. liquid thing.  It's an issue for me as well.  I think I've been neglecting my water since I've been able to eat more things.  Today I did better with the water.

Here's to hoping the weight starts dropping again, and soon.  :-)

i am trying not to freak the flip out about this weight loss thing!!

i lost 14 pounds in a week and then nothing, i have literally fluctuated up and down 4 pounds for 3 weeks!!

how is this possible?  i am drinking all water, vitamins, 600-700 calories, protein etc.

i am sooooooo upset about this,  i lost more weight before surgery!

i am keeping a food diary to show my dr because i know she will ask for one and i want to get moving!

i upped my exercise this week, 30 min a day to see if it helps, but i am trying really hard  not to get upset.  i had a good cry last week.

on the other hand i have lost inches everywhere, i dont understand how that works at all!

i lost 5 in my hips and 4 in the thighs, 1.5 in my neck, 2 in my arm, 2 in the calf, 3 in my waist, but 14 pounds does not account for that in my opinion.

heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!

Boy it's easier from this end !
You are probably gaining muscle which weighs more than fat (I'm sure you know this). For some reason I think when we are going through this ourselves it is just not comprehendable why we would not be losing.
I am finally on a (hope hope) downward spiral again. I lost two pounds after having gained 7 over Thanksgiving where I didn't eat hardly anything-and certainly didn't eat any pie or desert - threw up one of my small meals....so.
We are just too close from having our surgery is what I have been told by others here at work who had the surgery years ago. They said that plateaus are not unusual because your body thinks it is starving and tries to hold on to the fat reserves.
If you are anything like me I can fluctuate with water weight from one day to the next-and I'm telling ya, I gained that 7 pounds without eating much of anything, so it had to be water-though I am not even sure where that came from bc for a while there I had difficulty getting enough of it in, too!
Hang in there Apple Jax! (Leslie)

yep... I am in a stall too..   I am about 7 weeks out...

But.. I am in a struggle with my protein level...   I probably only consume about 500 calories a day.. so I am working on upping both..

May the "force" be with you... ok thst was the only witty thing I could think of... see told you my protein was down...

my son lives and breathes star wars, i would take help from about anywhere right now..lol

did lose 2 more pounds after i griped about it, 16 down. probably be back on tomorrow......

protein shakes are the only way to go to get it all in!

i wait until almost ready to eat again and drink a bunch of water over a half an hour bec i know the way is clear!  then eat a few min after when i feel the pouch has emptied.

unflavored protein powder works good too.

i keep hearing about all these slow losers and how normal it is and i am afraid that is going to be me, i have too muh weight to lose to be a slow loser!!  plus my sister in law and best friend had surgery in the last 2 years and the weight "FELL" off.  everyone is looking at me like i am doing something wrong.

as a side note, does anyone else have pcos??
