Dear Diary,

Week 5 -ish.... why am I craving grapes?

Does anyone even know if we can eat them?

I have heard yes and no to grapes.  I would ask your surgeon or dietician.  I personally haven't asked mine about grapes.  Some people say the skin on the grapes can be a problem but as long as you chew them very well, I don't see it being an issue.

I am craving:
nuts- almonds, pistachios, peanuts, peanut butter, etc...
spinach- cooked, not raw

makes me wonder about nutritional deficiencies....I hope not.  Iam getting my iron levels checked this week though so we'll see.

I believe you can eat grapes as long as you peel them first.

get some PB2 on amazon.  it's peanut butter powder, almost no fat and you can reconsitute it in water or straight into jelly.  i use it in my vanilla and chocolate protien shakes to get my pb fix! it's super yummy on oatmeal too!

According to my dietician you can eat anything starting week five. You just have to chew chew chew.

You shouldn't need to purée peanut butter and jelly, just don't put it on any bread and make sure the jelly is sugar free :). I agree to add the PB2 to shakes and oatmeal,,my grocery store sells it, right next to the regular peanut butter....

Yes you can. Just the skins might not go so well. i know I can eat them as long as i chew them really well. If anything try chewing it and if you think you can't swallow it, spit it out.
