An Open Plea

I am ecstatic about this website's commitment to a war against obesity, a burgeoning problem that is bankrupting our healthcare system, and a disease of increased incidence among the minorities.   Obese mothers create obese children.  This is simply unacceptable.  The cycle must be interrupted and the chain broken in as many places as possible!

Unfortunately many obese adults require an immediate bariatric surgical intervention to treat their metabolic syndrome and type 2 diabetes in a lifesaving and effective timespan. Current bariatric surgical alternatives have frequent serious and occasionally fatal risks and accompanying consequences that compromise the quality of patient’s lives. 

I believe we can offer these patients a minimally invasive endoscopic alternative involving the direct removal of the hazardous visceral or “belly” fat that secretes the deadly cellular hormones which cause insulin resistance, insatiable hunger, arteriosclerosis, strokes, heart attacks, autoimmune diseases, and cancers. We can do this without cutting into the stomach or bowel, rearranging the body’s alimentary plumbing or leaving behind a foreign body.  And we can repeat the procedure as necessary to avoid any weight loss plateau which accompanies current alternatives.

I have expended much of my personal resources as have my friends and family in bringing this technology and alternative to the brink of its realization.  But without some assistance and support from others such as you committed to the cause, we will fall short.  I post this plea to avoid that fate and be able to offer what I believe can be a safer and highly effective alternative to the billions of people about the world suffering from obesity.  I will most appreciate any support in your power to help as will they.  Anyone wishing to participate can post here with their suggestions and leads or contact me personally.
